Load the roster, start a new Dynasty game, make sure you select No for the 2006 Draft and Fantasy Draft options.

I've got a problem. This might be somewhat strange.

After my 6th straight championship with the Sonics, my game crashes after the 2nd week of the offseason, specifically at the Re-sign Free Agents period. Did a fresh install twice, it still crashed. Imported a 'offseasonsched (or something).dbf' from another dynasty but it also crashed.

Any thoughts?

Just the usual. Clear the workingdb and currentdb folders, make a backup and try substituting other files like tmcareer.dbf to see if there's a corruption somewhere.

And BTW, what other files should I also substitute?

I'd make a backup and try every file one by one, to see if you can track down a corrupted file. Replacing certain files isn't ideal because they contain season stats but if you can pinpoint the troublesome file, it might be possible to work something out from there.
