Retired Players

I'm just finished with my 1st season in my NBA Live 07 Dynasty Mode using NLSC Roster Update 4.0 and just started with my 2nd season...Since i don't like those generated rookies, i was successfully get rid of them by putting them into retired pools. Now, my problem is that i don't want some players from current roster update to retire. After my 1st season, i only have 1 player retired. It was Theo Ratliff. I want him back and put him into the Free Agent pools. When i open my players.dbf in my 2nd season. Ratliff wasn't there anymore. How can i reinput theo ratliff in my ongoing 2nd season?

The easiest way would probably be to overwrite the data of a generated player or free agent you don't want or need with Ratliff's data.
