i also remember Jose Ortiz from Puerto Rico, Leo Rautins from Canada, Andrew Gaze and Luc Longley from Australia and couple of others, those are the first who came into my mind :)

What about Euroleague clubs - maybe. Because I clearly remember Zalgiris wearing green jerseys and CSKA red in almost every matchup. I haven't even seen the USSR team'88 wearing white jersey, and i've seen 5/8 games and have bunch of pictures. Though, Real Madrid and Cibona Zagreb had both white and blue jerseys.

11 C Arvydas Sabonis - 88 USSR Team (Olympic Gold)/92 Lithuania Team (Olympic Bronze)/96 Lithuania Team (Olympic Bronze). I might find reference pics of those. As for clubs - You'd either have Zalgiris, where he played until 89, or Real Madrid 95 (Euroleague Champion).
14 PF Dino Radja - 90 Jugoplastika (Euroleague Champion)/88 Yugoslavia (Olympic Silver)/92 Croatia (Olympic Silver)
07 SF Tony Kukoc - 90 Jugoplastika (Euroleague Champion)/88 Yugoslavia (Olympic Silver)/92 Croatia (Olympic Silver)
13 SG Sarunas Marciulionis - 88 USSR Team (Olympic Gold)/92 Lithuania Team (Olympic Bronze)/96 Lithuania Team (Olympic Bronze).
04 PG Drazen Petrovic - I'd pick 86 Cibona (Euroleague Champion)/88 Yugoslavia (Olympic Silver)/92 Croatia (Olympic Silver)

Bench:
12 C Vlade Divac - 88 Yugoslavia (Olympic Silver)/95 Yugoslavia (EUrobasket Gold)/96 Yugoslavia (Olympic Silver)
08 PF Alexander Volkov - 88 USSR Team (Olympic Gold)
-- SF Detlef Schrempf - played his college game in USA, so the only appearance in European/World tournaments - 92 Germany.
06 SG Nikos Galis - 87 Greece (Eurobasket Gold)/Aris Thessaloniki
05 PG Panagiotis Giannakis - 87 Greece (Eurobasket Gold)
C Rik Smits - 86 Holland (Netherlands) (played in World Championships in Spain)
Rimas Kurtinaitis - 80's Zalgiris/ 88 USSR Team (Olympic Gold)/92 Lithuania Team (Olympic Bronze)/96 Lithuania Team (Olympic Bronze)

Hey UltraNIX, do you agree that Galis should be the starter at SG instead of Marculionis???

@BAYAG: Giannakis (or Yannakis if you want...) played most of his career for Aris Thessaloniki. Together with Galis, they won almost everything here in Greece for a decade and more!!! Check these out:

No Mr Ego-patcher(???), Galis should be starting:

"...Galis is the Euroleague's all-time leader in both career points scored and points per game (counting both FIBA and ULEB games), and he led the Euroleague in scoring eight times. He is also the Greek A1 League's all-time leading scorer in both career points scored and points per game (counting games before the league split into two divisions).
In addition to that, he also holds the record for highest career scoring average at the FIBA World Championship, as well as the record for the most points ever scored at a FIBA World Championship tournament. Galis is widely regarded as one of Europe's all-time greatest players in professional club basketball history, as well as one of the all-time greatest players in FIBA international basketball history. He is also revered in Greece, where he is considered by many to be the greatest individual athlete that the country has ever produced. He is a legend within European basketball and a figure that inspired millions on the continent to take up the sport of basketball..."
(from wikipedia)

The other guy was nothin' but a Euro-sixth man back in the days...
Anyway, don't want to continue this and go the thread off-topic ok??? Let's continue patching here...

I again repeat. Marciulionis is starting SG. If you're unhappy with that, you could easily re-order roster to your personal preference. Thus, you could have Giannakis at PG, Smits at C or any other setting you want.

If you could name at least one guard who ever averaged at least 18 points per game in NBA back in 1990's not named Drazen Petrovic, I could easily replace that guy instead of Marciulionis.

P.S. even though quoting is acceptable, calling other people names is rude and inappropriate according to forum rules. Have a nice day, mate ;)

Nice day to you too mate, but as long as BAYAG is releasing it to the public and that means that A LOT of people are gonna download and play this, just thought it should be as accurate as possible but... you are the creator of that (awesome BTW) patch -> you decide...
The end, ok???

Oh, you should start patching again bro and don't rush to give me one of your ego-answers, it's just my opinion that a lot of people would be very happy with that...

And... your NBC scoreboard patch is one for the ages man...

Drazen Petrovic is not PG... Anyways, I prefer Galis or Giannakis to PG. I noticed that now. Petrovic >> SG. Marculionis >> 6th Man.

I know that Petrovic isn't primary PG. But he used to play PG at times in Yugoslavia, Croatia national teams and even with NETS at times.

Why would I put Marciulionis on starting SG? Because neither Gallis, nor Giannakis ever played in the NBA. End of discussion. Believe me, even if you call it another ego-answer of mine, my knowledge of basketball history and basketball games seen passes way beyond your limits, no offense again.

Talking about patching. This thing is done. I could advise, share resources, but I'm not a boy anymore, so i would be glad to see some understanding.

Please, if you use USSR national team jersey, please, use 88 Olympic jersey, where Arvydas Sabonis wears his famous #11.

Other than that - very nice update. For the coach - my suggestion - Alexander Gomelskyy (USSR) or Dusan Ivkovic (Yugoslavia). Those guys battled each other in Seoul Olympic final. Also, they used to battle in Eurobasket finals and other imporant tournaments.

you could, but dean dome was opened in '86...hehehe

Home venues

Bynum Gymnasium, the first home of the teamBynum Gymnasium (1910–1924)
Tin Can (1924–1938)
Woollen Gymnasium (1938–1964)
Carmichael Auditorium (1965–1986)
Dean Smith Center (1986–present)

This one's up in the air..either make the '68 ucla team and the 82 carolina tarheels , or a team consisting of the legends that played at both schools.

so imma try to do '68 ucla, which is considered the best ncca team of all time and 82 north carolina.Jordan,Worthy and Perkins. I'd like to finish the euro stars first and probably just release that..Pix of the 68 team are very difficult to find.so is basic info like height, weight, and jersey number. but, imma go for it. 82 tarheel team isnt easy to find pix either. sit tight amigos..

Young Lew Alcindor and Big game James worthy

Hey BAYAG! Nice to see you back! :D Very nice work!

Nice to see a "90's European All-Star", even if Galis (one of the top 5 european basketball players EVER...) and Giannakis actually belong to an hipothetical EIGHTIES European All-Star team (together with Drazen Dalipagic, Antonello Riva, Dino Meneghin, Juan San Epifanio etc... well, could be interesting to get an 80s European All-Stars in this patch!)... For this reason, I'd replace Galis with Predrag Danilovic and Giannakis with Sasha Djordjevic... but this is just an opinion :)

BTW, for many different reasons, if an european player used to play in the NBA in the 80s or in the 90s doesn't mean that is better compared to another one who didn't play overseas... If not, we should state that Petur Gudmundsson and Uwe Blab (just to name two former NBA european players from the '80s) used to be better than Dino Meneghin and Drazen Dalipagic... and this is a blasphemy!

I probably would more likely go for a legendary international allstar team.. like I said before, I'm not famillar with the majority of these guys lol, but i try my best to give u guys what u want. I would need help from the nlsc community on finding who would be on that roster. Also references for portraits, height, weight etc... If you guys can come up with a 11 or 12 man roster of legendary international players..im willing to do it. As far as the rest of the mod goes, I went about rearranging the teams playable in season/playoff mode to nba finals champs only. I'm about half way thru the process. the rest of the nba teams will be exibition only. btw 96 bulls aren't the highest rated team in the mod. I used the ratings machine and talent wise they come in about 4th. 80's lakers and celtics were jsut better overall. :D

teams still in process or yet to be started.

68 ucla bruin ncaa champs
82 unc tarheels ncaa champs
2008 redeem team usa
argentina olympic champ team..
87 greece - luke should be able to give me more info
88 USSR - need references
1960 usa olympic team...still debating if i should even try

Hey Bayag

I'm glad you stil doing the legend patch. i appeciate it and thanks again. can you consider adding the following teams:

10 Lakers (Kobe, Gasol, Odom, Artest and Bynum) (season mode)
04 Wolves (Garnett, Cassell & Sprewell)
00 Blazers (Wallace, Pippen & Stoudamire) (season mode)
97 Heat (Zo, Hardaway, Mashburn & Lenard)
95 Rockets (Olajuwon, Drexler & Horry) (season mode)
07 Spurs (Duncan, Parker & Manu) (season mode for this team instead of 99 spurs which happen to suck, in my opinion :!: )
05 Suns (Nash, Amare and Marion)
96 Olympic Team (Shaq, Barkley, Payton & Malone)
00 All- Stars (Shaq, Duncan, Garnett, Kobe & Kidd)

PS if I can make a suggestion: Please don't include the 85 Bulls, 94 Rockets, 76 Nets and 99 Spurs

60 team might be hard find photos of the player in action based on its so old. Your best beat is watching video's from NBATV regarding them going into the hall...

no love for 92 Lithuania? :( It featured 88 Olympic champs Sabonis, Marciulionis, Kurtinaitis, Chomicius, plus World/Euro champion Sergejus Jovaisa and a group of young guns that won bronze medals in the olympics after regaining independence one year before. That team had heart... I could help with resources.

That team had heart... I could help with resources.

I'll be in contact with you soon regarding the ussr and lituania team.

60 team might be hard find photos of the player in action based on its so old. Your best beat is watching video's from NBATV regarding them going into the hall...

Funny thing is i cant even find a site that tells me what numbers each player wore..

I still have a bit to do with the euro team...but here's an update..thx to ultranix for the jerseys from his '04 mod.

As for Volkov's jersey. They had no "CCCP" watermark on the front. Only on the back above numbers.
