NBA Live 07 patching problems

Sat May 23, 2009 2:36 am

I have never ran into any issues till now. I have a new system that I got late last year. I have not had NBA Live 07 installed untill now. I installed the game, went fine. I downloaded the official patch from the site under official patches choose the dvd-rom version, installed it and it played fine. I installed the new roster patch by Andrew and after that, the game would not load. The .exe was stilling running in the background, had to end the process just to uninstall. What I am doing wrong, as I said never ran into problems before but this is a new system. I was told during the Roster update v2.9 that the PROGRAM folder already exits. I clicked on yes to keep going(overriding files?). Could this have caused my problem? SHould I have clicked on no?

I am running Windows Vista 64, not sure if there is any issues with that.

It definitely could be a problem with Vista 64 bit. I know that the installation routines work fine on XP, Vista 32 bit and even Windows 7 RC1 32 bit (I'm an IT tech by trade so I've been checking it out to try and stay ahead of the curve) but I'm not sure about Vista 64 bit.

Hey. Thanks for the response. I think I just missed a step. I did not restart after the official patch. Once I did that, then installed your new ver. 2.9, everything is working.

I do have once thing to point out that could very well be related to using Vista. When I quit the game it kicks me to desktop and windows says an error happened. No more detail other than that. This happened twice but on the third time, it actually went back to the game, no crash or error.
If you find any info out on Vista 64, please let me know. I'm starting to regret getting Vista. I've already had to start over once. Windows got corrupt/missing files. Never had a problem with XP Pro. Glad I still have that disc incase any more problems araise.

Yeah I'm not a big advocate of Vista. Windows 7 looks similar but seems to run a lot better so I think it could prove to be the step forward that Vista wasn't but no doubt it'll have its own problems.
