I've discovered that I didn't reorder the Knicks' lineup in the normal version of the rosters (NLSC0809) in v2.8. I've uploaded the roster again with the Knicks' lineup fixed so if you haven't downloaded v2.8 yet you won't run into the problem and don't have to worry about it. Otherwise, you can download this fix. Just extract the files to the NLSC0809 folder and run knicks_fix.bat to update their lineup.

Once again, if you're downloading the full package from now on, the problem has been fixed so you don't have to download the fix; it's only for people who don't want to download the whole package again but would like to fix the Knicks lineup quickly and easily.

Hey Andrew,

I've never used a forum before, so please let me know if I've posted this in the wrong place.
I just downloaded your v2.8 of the NLSC Current Roster Update for NBA Live 07 and I have created a Dynasty and also a Season where I control the Oklahoma City Thunder. In both scenarios when I've completed a game and select "quit game" to go back to the schedule, the game crashes and takes me back to the desktop. It's an awesome roster update and I have to say it looks perfect. If you have any ideas of what I might try to fix this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for making a great roster update that's very true-to-life.

I've tested the patch so there shouldn't be any crashes but hopefully we can pinpoint the issue. First of all, when you're returned to the desktop are any error messages displayed (such a Codebase Error or something similar)?

There haven't been any error messages.
I searched the forum and found a posting about the same issue with the default NBA Live 07.
I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling. Then I installed the v2.8 roster to the fresh install. Same results.

Do you encounter any problems when you're not using the NLSC roster?

No, it seems to work fine with the default install. To be sure about the roster, I uninstalled and reinstalled NBA Live 07 then installed an earlier NLSC version (1.22) - same results. This has me baffled because that version does not have the Oklahoma City Thunder update. I thought the new textures might be causing a problem, but it must be something else.

Try deleting the files in the workingdb and currentdb folders. I'm not sure if the problem lies there but it's a common fix and worth a try while I try to pinpoint what else it could possibly be.

Hi, im new to this, and new with patches. I want to download the roster update patch for my NBA live 07, but your website says: "Please note that this patch requires you to install the official NBA Live 07 patch from EA Sports for best results and is for the PC version ONLY."

Is it really necessary to have the official patch? If so, where can I find the official nba live 07 patch from EA Sports??

Please help!

I downloaded the patch and installed it, but it seems that the roster is not updated completely. All star teams are updated, oklahoma city is updated, but o neil for example is still in the miami heat roster, instead of suns. How come? and what can i do?

Impossible; if you're seeing updated All-Star teams (not just jerseys) then all the other transactions have to be made as well. After you install the patch, make sure you load the new roster from within the game otherwise you'll just see the updated art (since it's loaded regardless of the roster you have loaded and whether or not it was in place before you started a Dynasty). The rosters are most certainly updated, I would suggest you've missed a step after running the install.exe file.

You should have the official patch installed. You can find it in our Downloads section, under Official Updates for NBA Live 07.

I loaded it in my season mode, and then i chose to begin a new season. The rosters were all updated!! But now, the rating of for example the spurs are still at 83. Afternoon i saw their rating was 91 or something. How come?? Also when playing, and there is a free throw shooting, all the other players stand behind the free throw shooter? This is the first time im doing this with patches, i hope you dont mind, maybe i ask silly questions

Ah, I see. Yes, you can't load the rosters in a season you've already started so you would have needed to start a new one.

The overall ratings are calculated automatically by the game according to the players on the team's active roster, so if a high rated player is on the inactive list the team's overall will actually drop. Ginobili is currently on the inactive list in the roster update by default to reflect the Spurs' lineup at the time of release but when the roster gets re-ordered in a Dynasty or Season and he's placed back in the active rosters, the Spurs' overall rating is re-calculated accordingly.

aha, i see. now im starting to get it :) Also when playing, and there is a free throw shooting, all the other players stand behind the free throw shooter? That seems only to occur when there is a defensive three second foul. That foul happens alot, before it didnt.

That's because a defensive three second violation results in a technical foul, hence the free throw shooter takes the shot alone with the rest of the players standing behind him; that's the rule, not a bug. Nothing the patch does should result in more defensive three second violations so I would suggest it's a coincidence.

The problem still resides. I deleted the files and same scenario. I tried using a different camera view and it worked!
I usually use the press box camera, but when I used the default (I think baseline medium) it didn't crash. Could that be the problem, and if so how would I fix it? I've always used press box so I don't know why that would be incompatible.

I'm really at a loss there, the patch doesn't add any new camera angles or touch the camera file so there shouldn't be an incompatibility. I'll have a think about it and if I can come up with something I'll let you know, but there shouldn't be any reason why the press box angle wouldn't work.

Does the crash occur when you try to use the press box cam even with the default rosters?

Yeah. Now I'm really confused. The game seems to crash now, no matter what I do. I've reinstalled several times and the last time used the default rosters, tried every camera angle, and tried it without and then with the EA patch. Just when I thought I was starting to make progress, I'm now more confused then ever. I know it has nothing to do with the roster now, but I'm not sure what it could be. I've even disabled all of the "bells and whistles" in XP to make my PC run at peak performance. I haven't defragged in a while, but my comp says that I don't need to. I'm going to try that anyway and see if it helps. Again, thanks for trying to figure this one out for me.

No worries. Is it always crashing in the same place (or at similar times/situations) or does it vary, sometimes letting you get further?

@andrew

few suggestions for the next release (this is only for uninjured roster):

- atlanta hawks: i think josh smith plays at PF this season, while marvin williams plays at SF (this needs to be checked)

- los angeles lakers: luke walton should not be in starting lineup for the lakers, lamar odom or even trevor ariza should be at SF

- san antonio spurs: drew gooden and manu ginobili should be in starting lineup (gooden as a PF/i think duncan will switch to C and ginobili as a SG)

- jason richardson (suns) - remove him headband and sleeve

- gerald wallace (bobcats) - put team headband

- chris paul (hornets) - put him white sleeve on right arm

- dwight howard (magic) - put him team sleeve on left arm

also i have two questions:

1) is it possible that you include more updated courts in next nba live 07 roster update?

2) do you have in plans to make NLSC roster patch for nba 2k9?
