Online roster update does not save for PS2

Hi,
I have a PS2 and I am trying to save the rosters that download when you log on to online play, but when you exit the online screen it will say the roster has changed and do you want to save. But when you save them it is the same roster as before.

Please if anyone has any ideas I ned some help, I am using the rosters that came on the game.
