Gameplay and official patch

Well, I wanna make my gameplay better, so I could actually run my dynasty well. I have tried my first opening game twice, but both have pissed me off, as example Vince Carter comes always, even with 3 guys in the paints, he flies through and does a three sixty windmill, and all stuff like that. Jason Kidd puts it behind the back and layup, and it's no way to stop it. Is it somehow possible to make my gameplay more realistic, and those uberthings happen much less ? Sliders or something, or a mod ?

Also, I couldn't install the official patch as it said " Missing or invalid registry/INI entry. " My game shouldn't be pirate either, but I can't reinstall it anymore as my friend has the disk. Help, please ?

In Live 07 only way to turn off freestyle superstars is lower the ratings for all the guys who have them, but that will be unrealistic with so low stats of stars. There's no other way so unfortunately you can't do anything with Carter doing a 360 over 3 guys and Kidd doing behind the back lay-up.
