Andrew,
You got a LOT of working to still do on
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
still.
Otherwise good roster.

Sorry, but that doesn't really help me at all. If you have any specific suggestions, by all means post them. Please note that due to the nature of the game - and the problems with the sim engine in NBA Live 07 - I cannot guarantee perfect results for everyone 100% of the time.

Andrew,
No the end result statistics are near correct for the players rated correctly.

But I do feel you neglected editing a LOT of bench players/up and coming players.

I'll make sure to look over it tonight take notes and post a reply in this thread regarding what I feel should be changed but Andrew your going to be expecting a huge post. :)

I got a roster in the works of my own as I am typing this. Very similar to your roster but not, I'll also post a link to mine for you to look over and I'll give you 100% permission to use any ratings you see in my roster project in yours.

I'm not trying to cut you down on your effort or roster making ability its a huge job for only one guy to do. Timesharing on the NLSC Roster effort for Live 08 might not be a bad idea.

great job as usual but some remarks :
- I still think that some good shooting big men (Nenad Krstic, Primoz Brezec, Chaning Frye) should be awarded better FG and 3pt rating (to improve their shooting range).
- Yakhouba Diawara (Denver Nuggets) is not a great shooter but he can hit some threes. I think he's underated with 50 FG and 33 3pt, he should be awarded around 60-65 for both.

As I've said more than a couple of times - once in this very thread in fact - I'm working on an update for 08 which will now be the priority. I'll post more info on an expected release date when I'm a bit closer to finishing the initial version.

No worries, I appreciate any feedback you can provide. Please note that I will be making NBA Live 08 the priority from here on out though so there'll likely be fewer updates for NBA Live 07. Nevertheless, I'll continue to update ratings and review players as suggested.

As i examined the rosters so far, here are my suggestions for player rating updates. I'm a Timberwolves fan, so my rating update suggestions contain this team's players.

Al Jefferson - Def. Aware.(57) and FG(40) need major improvements. Shooting range, Inside Scoring(70), Of.Reb.(79) and Def. Reb.(81) need minor improvements. By this way his overall rating(72) can come to a fair level.

Antoine Walker - Jumping(70), Stamina(69), Dribling(62), Def. Aware.(60) and Hardiness(75) need minor recessions. So his high overall rating(78) can come to a fair level.

Craig Smith - Of. Aware.(45), Of.Reb.(33), Def.Reb.(60), Inside. Scr.(65) and Strength(68) need major improvements. So his underrated overall rating(59) can come to a fair level.

Rashad McCants - Quickness(62) Of.Aware.(67) and Def.Aware.(52) need major improvements.

Greg Buckner - All he need is improving his Def.Aware. rating(64) to a world class defender level.

Gerald Green - I can't accept he has an overrated Def.Aware. rating(60). He sucks at defense. I'm not sure which other attribute but he need some recessions about overall rating.

Corey Brewer - He's still unproven but, he deserves a better steal(33) and Def.Aware.(53) ratings. His ability on offense is unknown but defense needs major improvements.

Ryan Gomes - 3pt(47), Of.Reb.(58), Def.Reb.(68), Clutch(15), stamina(56), strength(66) and def.aware.(60) need major improvements.

Marko Jaric - passing(85) and speed(77) need minor recession.

Also most of the rookies have overrated ratings as you know in my opinion.

berdush,
Al Jefferson is a stud Center and I do realize that ;)

Antoine Walker is a mediocre player but eh its not a lack of skill its a lack of work ethic for him, I'd say a 73-74 overall is good for him 78? thats redicilous L. Walton>A. Walker

Craig Smith I like ;)

Rashad McCants should be a 73 overall player and 1 overall higher then G. Green, dude is good shooter and a lot quicker then Andrew thinks.

Greg Buckner also needs a +10 FG rating, 55 FG is rediclous hes a pro NBA player. Yeah and he should be at LEAST a star stopper ;)

Gerald Green is a horrible defensive player gets trumped by slower guards a lot, fixed. (Y)

Ryan Gomes should no joke be a 78 overall player, not cause hes some amazing player no no, just he has a very very solid all around game he can do it all. And actually the dude is a very good shooter :)

Marco Jaric? Hm. good point out. Hes slow but hes a good passer, I'd personally say to lower passing to 80 and speed to 75.

But I do disagreee with the rookies having overated ratings, the overalls really dont pan out to be much, I'd much rather have a rookie rated correctly then have him look bad.

Oden,Durant,Belinelli,Brewer,Horford,Noah to name a few should be in that 75-82 overall range you do the choosing in your head.

But yeah want to see all this done TONIGHT? Er, around 3:30 PM EST? Well bookmark this thread here: http://www.nbaliveforums.com/ftopic52521.php
And wait for it to change from v1.0 to v1.5 around 4ish tonight (Y)

ei i think you should just make the roster update whenever 5 or more new players are to be added that are not in the roster nor in free agents so that you could still save time in continue making the roster... on the transactions i think we should have a separate thread where we could post some changes on transactions, player ratings and superstar icons, jersey numbers all those stuff... do you think it is a good idea?

we could save a lot of our bandwidth with that....

plus im having problems loading the site at night in NZ anyone ever experienced that?

I'm not sure of my exact schedule for future updates for NBA Live 07. It probably won't be as frequent and might be a bit erratic as I focus on NBA Live 08. The thing is, it doesn't really save time to do more or less updates in my experience; in fact, producing fewer updates can sometimes increase the workload since there's more to do in between updates. In any case, I'll see how things go.
