v1.16 released...

Postby Andrew on Sun Oct 21, 2007 6:56 pm

Welcome to the official support thread for the latest version (v1.16) of the current roster update for NBA Live 07!

Andrew wrote:A new version of the current roster update for NBA Live 07 is now available to download here.

Key features of v1.16:
- 2007/2008 Offseason Rosters accurate as of 20/10/07
- All 60 Draftees & undrafted rookies added
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Fatigue ratings updated for better substitution patterns
- Cyberfaces for missing players
- Portraits for missing players
- Coaches updated complete with faces
- Player heights and weights corrected
- Player salaries and contracts updated
- Final 2006/2007 Rosters
- 2006/2007 Opening Night Rosters

v1.16 isn't a heavy update as far as ratings concerned but feedback on the ratings is still very much welcome. Please also note that it's still a bit difficult to guess what some teams will do with their rotations since some regular starters are playing limited minutes and pre-season rosters don't have an inactive roster. Feedback and suggestions as to the projected lineups is also most welcome, though by the next update I should have real lineups to work from.

UPDATE: Please note that there was an error in the previous file I uploaded. If the .zip file you downloaded includes an installation file dated October 7th, please download the patch again. Sorry for any inconvenience, thanks to xplicitx310 for the heads up.

Some suggestions I have on some player ratings:

Al Thornton - His jump rating I feel should be much higher, he's also a pretty good dunker and bumping his dunk ratings up would be nice imo. He's slated to be the starting power forward while EB is out I think and he had a solid line in the preseason.

Rashad McCants - With the Ricky Davis trade, he's projected to be the starting shooting guard for the Wolves, and he's a pretty good scorer, so bumping up his shooting ability would be good.

Antoine Walker - I don't think the guy is really as good as he once was. From what I saw last season, he took a lot of bad shots, I don't think he's the shooter he once was. I doubt he could even crack Minnesota's rotation.

Al Horford - I think the most NBA-ready rookie in the draft needs to have better ratings. He's a very strong player in the low block and can defend down there very well, after all, he was the player who guarded Greg Oden in the NCAA championship match; he's also got sound low post scoring ability. In the long run, I think he can be one of the best centers in the league. I think he can challenge Kevin Durant as rookie of the year.

Thaddeus Young - This rookie is an athletic forward who can play from the Power Forward spot down to the Shooting Guard spot. He can finish dunks well, has good speed, strength, and jumping ability. Sort of like what Andre Iguodala is.

Rodney Carney - He has a pretty good shooting stroke and is one of the better 3 point shooters on the Sixers team. He's also been known to finish dunks with a lot of flair.

Andray Blatche - The Wizards might have him as the first big off the bench now that Etan Thomas is out. Blatche is the type of forward who can face up and knock down the perimeter jumper rather than your back-to-the-basket bigs.

Travis Diener - The back-up PG for Tinsley in Indiana. Diener has great range on his jumpshot and he can just be a deadshot from downtown. Two years ago, his jumpshot had Phoenix interested in acquiring him actually.

Oh and another correction, Brandan Wright was drafted by Charlotte, not Washington.

I could also post some of my speculations on several team's rotations, if you would like.
