CPU substitutions in dynasty mode

Postby loops on Thu Sep 27, 2007 5:40 am

hi all,
i 've just started my dynasty mode with the new york knicks and after playing a few games i've noticed that the other teams (CPU controlled) are not using any substitutions at all, the starting five is playing the whole game...
i've past thru the options and settings and can't figure out how to affect this.

i'd like the whole teams to play against me as i'm always rotating at least 8-9 players of my team

thnx

Yep I don't like this also, but currently there is no fixes... All we can do is waitting for Live 08. I hope they fix some parts in dynasty mode.

Actually, there is a fix for it which you can find here. Note that it will not work if you're using a pirated copy of the game.

of course, but i forgot to mention that i play nba live 07 (legal english version) on my ps2, so i guess there's no proper solution for me as i can't install the fix... well. as !The Vortex! said, i can only wait for a newer version of the game. hopefully they'll include these features from the fix you linked

Yes Andrew Official Patch add some trades, but still there is a lot problems...

1. CPU makes crazy trades, for example Anthony is traded to Utah and Boozer to Nuggets. And then Andrei or Carmelo is in the bench... (N)

2. Still need more trades, for better realism...

I hate nba 07 dynasty..

I also experience no subs (i manually do it when playing against a cpu controlled one) but it is sad for cpu teams that most of their players don't get any points or playing time.

Trades are crp...
I saw the cpu controlled teams traded suns amare to nuggets for k mart. sun also acquired greg oden and traded somebody.. suns also traded barbosa. I just can't stop laughing when i saw this... another one would be wizards trading antonio daniels for sam cassel and also acquiring matt carol.

aside from that starting lineup changes to e.g spurs no parker and duncan. hahaha...

If you have PIRATED COPY OR A CRACK version... yeah NO SUBSTITUTION! then what? you wait for NBA live 08 and buy a pirated copy again and hoping there's a CPU substitution there.

Sorry, but i hate people complaining about the game, but they don't have the original copy of the game.

If you have ORIGINAL COPY! go get the Official Patch

That should be enough to see some fatigue related substitutions. What do you have the CPU substitution frequency slider set to? If it's not as the maximum already, you can try increasing it.

For my experience, I sub oponent's team by myself. It's sucks but, sometimes it's more realistic and share a lots of balls. 4th quarter i make them starting five. How am I changin? i just change the controller to opponents then change back to mine.

Try downloading the file again if Winzip says the archive is corrupted. You might need to clear your Temporary Internet Files first.

Does the error occur when you try to open the archive in Winzip or when you're actually trying to install the patch? If it's the latter, I'd suggest reinstalling your game.

You can also try downloading the patch from the official website. Check the News & Events section.

In that case there's not much else I can recommend except downloading it again, the file that's online definitely isn't corrupt.

I tend to not care if the CPU subs or not... For one, my subs are just as good as their starters, and also I feel a sense of great accomplishment if I can get a CPU team to sub or call a timeout not at the end of the game. Means the team really is struggling.

As for the patch - it's somewhat well hidden. I usually struggle each time I wan to play Live on PC... But it sucxks and lags, so I'm always back to the ps2 (which sucks, but at least doesn't lag)
