DBF Question: All Star Game

Fri Aug 17, 2007 9:08 am

Can the players chosen by NBA Live 07 to play in the All Star Game in 'Season Mode' be changed by editing the .dbf files?

Live 07 always chooses bizarre players for the East and West teams, like Chucky Atkins or Channing Frye... and I'd like the lineups to be determined by polling in my fantasy league!

Thx,
Shing

I haven't tried it with NBA Live 07 yet but I'm pretty sure you've been able to change it through DBF editing in previous years once you get to the All-Star game.

Ahh oki, I'll give it a try on the day of the actual game and see what the dbf says!

So according to teams.dbf: All Star East is Team 30 and All Star West is Team 31. I wrote down all the players in teams 30 and 31 and they correlate quite well...

But, when the actual All Star Game is played, there are players on both teams that weren't in 30 or 31. Like Channing Frye, who's part of Team 32, which according to teams.dbf is the Retired Team and also contains Mitch Richmond and other oldies.

I'm finding this really difficult!

That's weird, I've never seen that happen before. Did you make any changes to the DBF?

Only players primacy ratings every now and again.

I've solved the problem by taking a different approach instead of tackling the .dbf: As a reward to our two highest-placed teams, Detroit and Phoenix, the All Star Game will be played between them both after I've traded players around and onto their rosters. It's a bit disappointing it can't be done the usual way though. Thx for keeping in touch with this thread, Andrew.
