whats the deal

Ive been trying to install some cyberfaces, but I cant get them to show up in the game. I download, unzip, place the file in the sgsm folder, go into the game, load rosters, but nothing shows up.....what gives? am I missing a step?

i did a keyword search in the forum for this and it spit out 12093109 results, none of which pertained to my question. this is why I ask

Are the cyberface patches for missing players or original players? If the updates are for players that have been created, you'll need to do some dbf editing to ensure they show up in the game.

these were actually for players already in the game, players like Dirk, KG, etc. I figured I'd start with them first and then move into the rest. could it be something else Im doing?

There shouldn't be anything else to do for original players except dump the files in sgsm folder. If the patch is in .viv format then it would need to be placed in sgsm/players but most face patches aren't distributed in .viv format so I'm guessing that's not the problem.

The only other thing I can think of would be an incorrectly named file. The filename must match the appropriate PLAYERPKG for the game to display it instead of the original.
