v1.01 released...

Postby Andrew on Sun Feb 04, 2007 10:07 pm

Welcome to the official support thread for v1.01 of the NLSC Current Roster Update for NBA Live 07!

The news post:

Andrew wrote:I've finished v1.01 of the current roster update for NBA Live 07 and it is now available to download here.

Key features of v1.01:
- 2006/2007 Season Rosters (accurate as of 3/02/07)
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Some missing portraits added
- Coaches updated with cyberfaces
- East & West All-Star Teams Updated
- Rookie & Sophomore Teams Updated
- Automatic primacy fix included

A few release notes:
  1. Yes, I'm aware that the update doesn't include a portrait for Jeremy Richardson. I'll add one ASAP. In the mean time, I have decided not to include a blank portrait so if you've already downloaded a portrait update for Richardson the patch will use it and not overwrite it.
  2. As soon as replacements are officially named for Yao Ming and Carlos Boozer on the Western All-Star team, I'll add them. For now, they're the 11th and 12th players on the roster. Once replacements are named both will remain on the roster as injured reserves.
  3. For the moment I've had to guess the lineups for the Rookie and Sophomore teams as well as the bench order for the East and West All-Stars. These will of course be updated after the All-Star Weekend itself.

Excellent job Andrew. I have waited until this point to finally start playing '07. I figured I'd wait out all the chaos with gameplay issues, and until a patch & a roster or two of yours has been released. Thanks for all your hard work, esp. your attention to detail which you bring year in and year out. Cheers, Tibs

Automatic primacy fix? I didn't know that was possible, but that's easily the feature I'm most interested in! How does that work? Does it work in Dynasty mode?

Nevermind, just read the documentation

What does this fix do?
----------------------

This file automatically corrects Primacy ratings for all players in the
NLSC Current Roster Update for NBA Live 07. This is handy in Dynasty Mode
where undesirable recalculations result in players being assigned odd
Primacy ratings and thus taking too many or too few shots.

How does it work?
-----------------

Simply extract primacy.bat, cdbflite.exe and cdbflite.ini to your
Dynasty save folder and run primacy.bat. Do not close the window until
the update has been completed.

Nice! I've been waiting for something like this for a couple years now.

Does primacy.bat need to be run after every season/roster change in the dynasty?

if the primacy fix work just like the one that chris_23 made, then you need to run it every after injury or trade. But running it once a week on your dynasty is enough. ;)

Edit:

Damn, now i need to start a new dynasty :(

I have a little problem Andrew, when I play with the Grizzlies the commentarist tell the coach of rookie team, and not Tony Barone :?

I really like the outcome of everything that you have done Andrew! I'm relatively new here but I'm definitely enjoying my stay, so raise your glasses and play the game!

You're welcome, everyone. :)

It should be run regularly, particularly after trades or signings are made or after injuries occur; running it after an injured star returns to action is a good idea too, to make sure everything gets back to normal. It won't solve all the problems with simulated stats in Dynasty Mode but it will at least restore the intended Primacy ratings so the scoring averages hopefully won't be too messed up. ;)

I'm afraid not. With a bit of work you might be able to convert it, unfortunately I don't have the time to get involved with such a project myself though. Sorry.

Unfortunately there are no speech files for Tony Barone so there's not much I can do about that. Sorry. :(

BUT
- Andrew Bynum. His FT should be increased to 60 altleast, because his FT% is .700 in nba

Andrew, please tell me why Curry so low in ratings? don't u think by he's game and stats he deserves more improvement in shooting ratings, dunk or smth! i see him at 80 level this season! and may be inside scorer star! i think big man, who scores 20+ pts almost every game (last was 27) deserves to be higher rated than 76?!
only god can judge me

Good looking out, I've fixed that up ready for the next update. :)

As I have explained several times, I do not boost or decrease overall ratings so that they look better. At the end of the day, a player's overall rating does not directly affect how he plays; his individual ratings are much more important. If you can see any problem with his individual ratings please let me know but I don't change the overall ratings simply for cosmetic reasons.

yeah, i'm nodoubtly agree with u, but i think he's inside scoring, offensive ability and may be power, quickness could be increased, and may be he should be the inside scorer, coz he's performance this season is great, and, to my mind he plays way better than Jamison, harrington offensively!
