Has anybody been able to figure out the sock glitch? I searched through all the 'sock' threads, and it seems that everyone's aware of the problem, but there's no solution yet, other than hoping EA will fix it (which I highly doubt). It seems to me that the issue is somewhere in the team color fields, as it reads 0 and 1 as team colors, not necessarily white or black. Philly for instance gets a reddish sock color with 0 instead of white. Of course, it also gets the same color with 1 on the home court. For 06 there was a color chart, but the codes seem to be different for 07.

I hope others will post in this thread regarding what they've found regarding the sock color problem, and any info on what's been tried thus far in solving it. Hopefully we'll find a way around it.

Cheers, Tibs

edit - ah, just caught another post, that sock color can be set for individual players in appearance.dbf.

There are four sock data columns: SOCKS, SOCKCOLOR, SOCKCOL2, SOCKCOL3

I take it Socks is the sock type (NBA, ind. color, team color, etc.) and the three SOCKCOLOR(s) are home, away and alternative?

If anyone has accurate info on this, please post here.

Final question: there is also a sockacc.dbf file that has the following fields:

ID LOCID COLOURTYPE TEXNAME ISLOCKED

Maybe there's something in here that could be edited as well.

I dunno, just fishing...

Setting the colors in appearance.dbf didn't work for me, as it reverted back to the reddish color on the home court. Seems like the engine is overriding the settings in appearance. Hopefully someone with more experience w/ .dbf editing can give some insight here...
