Direct Online Problem?

Hello everybody.I have a problem.I want to play online with one friend.So I go to "Create direct online..." option and he goes to "Join direct online..." option and writes down my IP address. But in the next screen which says " Waiting for other player" we both wait but nothing happens!!What is going wrong?Can anyone help me?Thank u in advance!

You can't always rely on the IP address that shows up in the game. Go to WhatIsMyIP.com and use the displayed address.
