Sun Jan 14, 2007 11:10 pm

v1.00 has finally been released, so it's time to open this section and our first support thread of the season. First of all, the details:

Andrew wrote:It's taken longer than I hoped but it's finally here: the initial version of the NLSC update for NBA Live 07. You can download it here.

Key features of v1.00:
- 2006/2007 Season Rosters (accurate as of 13/01/07)
- 2006/2007 Season Rosters ignoring injuries (accurate as of 13/01/07)
- Player ratings updated

- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Cyberfaces for all missing players
- Coaches Updated
- International All-Stars roster bug fixed
- Location information updated
- Teamgear updated to include hidden jerseys
- Missing legends added with cyberfaces and portraits

Because of the delay I've tried to be as thorough as possible. Having said that, there's still work to be done and I'm sure there'll be folks keen to help out as always.

I'd like to take a moment to once again thank the following people for their contributions to the current roster update:

Cazurro (Cyberfaces)
Samueti (Cyberfaces)
Raymos Da Great (Cyberfaces)
glen10982 (Cyberfaces)
OleEnglish/RyanP (Cyberfaces)
Manou & the Euroleague Mod Team (Cyberfaces)
QBaller (Location.dbf & Teamgear.dbf Update)
Sam. (Cyberfaces)
Flite23 (Cyberfaces)
Cable Guy (Portrait)

I think that's about all for now. I hope the update proves to be worth the wait, feel free to start sending in feedback. :)

Nice work Andrew and co. !
For first look i like work with Camby, Martin, Howard.
Arenas good made, fg and 3-pt, speed and quickness.
Anthony good work with fg.
Some rating looks overrated like fr for Iverson and block for Yao if compare that Okafor have only 80 but he and o'neal best blockers in the league. Also okafor best offensive rebounder.
J.O'neal is not so slow as 60 nad 59.
//greetz Vanny.

Mon Jan 15, 2007 1:08 am

Thank Andrew, but I guess it's just first step to make realistic roster?
Now there are many unfixed players like Barnes, A. Parker ore J. Jones, AK-47 and others.
___
+ I can't find Garbajosa, Spanoulis etc... - Sorry - my error =)

Mon Jan 15, 2007 1:54 am

OK here it is, my doubts about the roster, Andrew:

Roster suggestions

- Increase Josh Smith's blocking to 80, because he is 5th at blocks in NBA.
- Decrease a little Larry Hughe's overall, because he is not that good this year.
- Increase a little Linas Kleiza's overall, atleast 60.
- Definitely increase Matt Barnes's 3point shooting, his rating is only 35, while in the NBA he's shooting very well.
- Increase Monta Ellis's overall atleast to 70.
- Increase Shane Battier's 3point shooting, atleast to 73.
- Increase Yao Ming's overall to 88 atleast.
- Increase Andrew Bynum's blocking rating to 75 atleast.
- Increase Brian Cardinal's 3points shooting rating to 70 atleast.
- Increase Hakim Warrick's overall to 72 atleast.
- Increase Michael Redd's overall to 87 atleast.
- Increase Mikki Moore's overall to 63 atleast.
- Increase Bostjan Nachbar's dunking rating to 68 atleast.
- Increase Jamal Crawford's overall to 80 atleast.
- Increase Keyon Dooling's dunking rating to 70 atleast.
- Increase Willie Green's dunking rating to 70 atleast.
- Increase Kyle Korver's overall to 70 atleast.
- Definitely decrease Boris Diaw's overall, his overall is way too big, his stats are not that good as last year.
- Increase Ime Udoka's overall to 63 atleast.
- Increase Ronnie Price's dunking rating to 70 atleast, now his rating is only 8.
- Increase Matt Bonner's 3points shooting rating to 75 atleast.
- Increase Luke Ridnour's overall to 78 atleast.
- Increase Anthony Parker's overall to 70 atleast.
- Definitely increase Carlos Boozer's overall to 85 atleast, he's having the best season in his career!

Missing stuff

- Walter Herrmann's portrait.
- Yakhouba Diawara's portrait.
- Amir Johnson's portrait and face.
- Jason Maxiell's realistic face.
- Kelenna Azubuike's portrait.
- John Lucas's portrait.
- Vassilis Spanoulis's portrait.
- Lynn Greer's portrait.
- Ersan Ilyasova's portrait and face.
- Damir Markota's portrait.
- Justin Williams's portrait.
- Andre Brown portrait.
- Jose Garbajosa's portrait.

Stars and Superstars.
-Chris Bosh. I was really surprise when saw he is not ss inside scorer. He is poor ss insider.
-Emeka Okafor. I was surprised too when saw that he is not ss blocker. He is second in the league in blocks. Also he's and j.o'neal deffensive awarnes shoud be more cause they roxx in defense, best blockers.
-Offensive Rebounds. Link 2 stat One more to fix. Elton Brand have offensive rebound 80 but Okafor only 76.

Yay, thx a lot Andrew, Very good job, this is gonna make me enjoy nba live a lot more!!!

Mon Jan 15, 2007 4:04 am

Thank you very much for the hard work!

It is right, some graphic files are missing, but I got them by copying once again SGSM files from Jimmy's rosters

Mon Jan 15, 2007 4:48 am

Andrew, in your roster Kwame Brown in game, though it in injury list. And in the rest all is excellent. (Y)

Mon Jan 15, 2007 5:23 am

I don't like some ratings, but I will adjust them myself, thats not a problem. Anyway, very good job Andrew (Y)

Mon Jan 15, 2007 5:52 am

Andrew!
What's happened with J.Smith ? He is one of the best blockers in NBA 2.5 blocks per game! He should be inside stopper! And good d. rebund 6 per game
Also intresting situation with Okafor!!! He is gooood very good @ defensive end. He should be superstar inside stopper. And he is one of the best ofensive rebounders in nba, 3.7 per game,is more than D.Howard!

Mon Jan 15, 2007 7:58 am

Thanks a lot!

Mon Jan 15, 2007 9:55 am

First : Thanks a lot Andrew.

Finally we have got your patch.
It was a rewarded waiting time.

(Y) (Y) (Y)

I've only changed the stamina ratings because some players were almost never tired.

((If you've got the time, only if, tell me one thing :
My friend plays with Orlando, and he thinks that you don't like this team. (you decreased some player ratings (arroyo, Howard...)
Is that true ? or did you gave the good ratings accordingly to their real NBA stats like I think you did.
 ))

Thanks a lot !!!!!

Mon Jan 15, 2007 10:15 am

You're welcome everyone, and thanks for the feedback so far. :)

I had a feeling I'd missed a couple. Thanks for the heads up. :)

pHLo wrote:Iverson should be on the Western All Stars team (but i think it's cool if u fix that when the entire lineup is official)

Yep, I'll be fixing that once the All-Star rosters are finalised at which point I'll make sure AI's on the right team.

Thank Andrew, but I guess it's just first step to make realistic roster?

Actually I've gone through a fair amount of ratings with the initial update. Which ratings in particular do you feel are incorrect for those players? I appreciate the feedback but you'll need to be a bit more specific. ;)

Thanks, I'll look into those suggestions for individual ratings but please note that I still do not increase or decrease overall ratings just to make them look better or to reflect a player's status in the league. However, I will take another look at their ratings as there's probably some that could stand to be updated which will in turn affect the overall rating.

Those portraits are missing because I don't have them yet. ;) I'll check on Amir Johnson and Ersan Ilyasova, I'm sure their faces are in the update though I may have left them out of the installation routine accidentally. In any case I'll double check that but I'm pretty sure they're included. They were certainly there while I was working on the rosters.

Mister MeLo wrote:steve blake needs to be increased to atleast a 68 instead of a 58

As I said before I don't increase or decrease overall ratings just so they look better, but I'll take another look at his individual ratings and see what needs to be updated.

B.Kobe wrote:Andrew, in your roster Kwame Brown in game, though it in injury list. And in the rest all is excellent.

Lineups generally reflect the most recent game a team has played. The new inactive list rules sometimes make it difficult to keep the lineups accurate between updates because a player can be activated and deactivated on a daily basis.

Let me know which ratings and I'll take a look. (Y)

Definitely not. I don't change ratings according to whether I like a player or not and in any case, I don't dislike the Magic or any of their players. ;)

I don't know if it has been mentionned yet but I think that David Lee deserves a lot more love for his rebounding abilities (9th in the league). By the way, thank you Andrew for coming up with such good roster updates.

Mon Jan 15, 2007 4:46 pm

Thanks. I uninstalled my game for quite awhile, waiting for your patches.. :D
