The famous hook shot?

How do you get Jermaine O'Neal to shoot a hook shot like u could last year by pressing superstar trigger and the pass button.

I've yet to see this animation in Live 07. I believe EA removed it, and considering the cheesy nature of it in 06, I can't say I disagree with the decision.

Yes there are hook shots. It's a post shot animation and comes when it comes. I've seen it happen most when instead of close-up fade-away player attempts a hook shot.

Well, one way to do a hook shot is to be in the post, holding down on the right analog to keep you in the back-down position, and to shoot the ball. That will sometimes result in a hook shot. There is also a post animation when you push, I believe it's the layup button, where early contact is made and the player will sort of hook the ball at the basket.

None of these are the same hookshot animation you're referring to from Live 06, though.

Regular jump hook: press shoot while backing down, also can be done by pressing left stick paralel to the backboard.
FSS jump hook: right stick down and to the left(with ball in right hand, this is reversable)while holding down the FSS trigger.

that superstar hook shot last year was very cheap during online play, because it went in nearly every time

If you saw the Elton Brand stats screenshot I posted in the Live 07 screenshots thread, its still very cheap, especially that up and under.

Superstar inside scorers has the hook.(see the thread where the moves are described) I can't remeber if a star inside scorer can do it. Also with a big man who has his back or side to the basket and you press the shoot button they will attempt a hook. pretty simple actually. I'm surprised you haven't seen it.
