What's the point of just being able to patch your exe file if it doesn't correct the bugs that required a patch in the first place?
Don't bother trying this, it won't solve the substitution issue.

I have the unofficial patch and sub is working fine. Why would the official be shittier than the unofficial patch. If sub is not working why did EA even release the patch. I don't know what EA guys are smoking but that one shit I want to stay away from.

The official patch will not install.
I tried installing NBA Live 07 fresh on a system that had not had 07 installed on it. The patch would not install.
Another little issue with the patch problem is that online play seems to require the patched version. This patch not only doesn't work, but by releasing it EA has now broken online play.
But according to the mods here, those of us trying to get a playable game are the "stupid" ones.
