I agree with you Spree #8 for the most part. 08 Lakers can of suck in my opinion. They had that Vlad Rad kid which was horrible, selfish and a one dimensional player.

09 Lakers overall are a better team and would be more fun to play with since Trevor Ariza improved especially shooting the 3pt shot, defense and overall game, Shannon Brown is athletic, Bynum in the starting lineup and Odom on the bench. All Bayag I think would have to do is add Shannon Brown (improve his rating), Adam Morrison on the roster and get rid of Vlad Rad.

As far as the 09 Magic I wasn't surprise they got there. I picked them to win the East and I wanted them to win. The Cavs were overrated, no disrespect to LeBron and they deserved to lose mainly because of their arrogance, pre-game rituals, celebrations during the game and lack of respect for other teams. If Bayag wanted to put the 09 Magic I wouldn't mind because they would be fun to play with. But, then again, he is the only guy working on this project so I definitely appreciate his work regardless of who he put on there.

PS
I just want to know some of the teams that are already on there. Is the patch going to include the teams like 94 Knicks and 92 Blazers that was already on the last patch?

to spree:
you say(Right now you can't, it's not released yet.)
but what the pictures shows the 83 spurs ,99 knick ,99 roket,98 laker,54laker.
besides, someone says that their roster included the 08 bosten .but my roster only has 08'laker.
so i think that my classic roster isn't the latest.
does yours has 08'bosten?

1; HOW many teams are there in the classic team roster now?
2;where can i download the latest classic team roster ?

now my classic team roster only has 30 team. but i saw the pictures top of the page has some teams i don't have .
for example ,83 spurs ,

98 laker, 99 roket,99knick, 50 laker, and so on.
how can i download the latest classic team roster ?
please tell me .thank!

yep '00 blazers included in next release. 94 ny and 92 blazers were in last release. I need to double check the number of teams , at last count i made 57 classic teams not including decade rosters which are there also. As far as release date..i don't know. Sometimes i get an hour to work on it and sometimes i'm not able to patch for several days. the teams logos stadiums are done...i just need to create the players cfs and ratings...takes a while ya know.

I was thinking of changing 08 lakers to this years version...also making the magic...I want to stop making teams eventually..so i can release it lol.

well take your time and we really appreciate your patches. i just wanted to know are most of teams that were in the last patch are going to be included in the new patch?

also if you get any spare time i think you can consider the 97 heat (Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway, Voshon Lenard, Jamal Mashburn, Dan Majerle and PJ Brown), they record was (61-21) and lost to the Bulls in ECF. they are one of the talented teams not to win a championship or get to the finals.

PS. thanks for including 09 Lakers and possibly 09 Magic
I will not ask you to include any other teams

Hi BAYAG,

I played with your amazing patch last year and was by far the best one ever made! Now that I just found that you’re making an extended one with more teams I’ll re-install Live 07 just for this!! (Y)

I agree with Spree#8; it would be nice to have the possibility to customize the season directly in the game! I’d like to play with 30 teams from the modern era (let’s say from 1980 – when the 3 pt line was introduced – ‘til now) because I remember to have found too ease in beating legendary teams such as Russell’s Celtics or Chamberlain’s Lakers playing with whatever team from recent past.

Hoping to help you a little bit in order to make your patch even more accurate, here you can find some minor mistakes I remember from the previous version (I’d like to help more but I’m not a patcher… I’m sorry! :? ):

1)Some jersey numbers were incorrect, if I can remember well (I don’t have the edited file anymore…) especially for ’87 Atlanta, ’91 Golden State and ’01 Sixers. By the way, if you look at the bottom of the page http://www.apbr.org you can find out easily the correct jersey numbers for every player (season per season team rosters with numbers!).

2)Here you can find a list of left handed players http://www.apbr.org/lefties.html . I remember to have edited a couple of them.

3)Antoine Carr was something like 6’9’’ in 87 Atlanta Hawks and 6’11’’ in 97 Utah Jazz… basketball-reference.com says he’s 6’9’’…

4)In ’92 Cavs Mike Sanders was missing… I guess he was the starting SF, at least on the paper, with Larry Nance at PF, Brad Daugherty at C and John Williams coming off the bench (although he played more minutes than Sanders).

Finally, a suggestion/request for our BAYAG: in this beautiful patch it would be an omission and a pity not to represent any Dallas and/or Denver teams! These teams have been in the NBA elite for several seasons (just like 83 Milwaukee Bucks you are gonna make) with Denver having reached conference finals twice (this year and in 1985 during the English era) and Dallas one NBA final in ’06 and conference finals in ’03 and ’88 (a very deep team in every position - as like as ’00 Portland - which lost to Showtime Lakers in 7 games)…

By the way, Mr BAYAG will decide… He’s working for this patch since a very long time so I have just to say THANK U BAYAG!!!

Greetings from Italy!

I was thinking either 97 heat or a charlotte team with larry johnson and mourning...it's in the works.
all previous teams released are still in the new update.

85 nuggets and 87 mavs art/stadium/jerseys are complete..just need to bench players..
Thanks for the noting the errors you found and the list of left handed players. i've entered so much data into the database i'm bound to make some mistakes. I'll fix those before release. To cut down on the number of players i limited teams to 12 man playoff roster using basketball-reference.com . good catch with mike sanders and carr. I try to make the teams as accurate as possible that's probably why it takes me forever to release anything. Thanks for your support..

I don't think i could add '06 mavs...terrible showing in the finals for being up 2-0 and then losing to a #8 seed the next year  . I think an m.aguirre /r. blackman led team represents dallas ok.

Thanks to you… You’re doing a huge job for all this community, signaling few minor mistakes to help the cause is nothing compared to what all of us vintage NBA fans are gonna get from this amazing patch… :applaud:

Sounds good… (I remember of Rolando Blackman… He played in Italy at the end of his career and was a key player of a very strong Milan team which won the Italian championship that season).

To rwe515: I agree with you, that Miami was a tough, solid, defensive-minded team that, like few others, never reached the big one because of MJ (and they had one of my teenage favorites in Sasha Danilovic! :) )… On the other side, a Mourning/Johnson/Gill team would be slightly weaker but maybe funnier to play with (and Charlotte would be not represented in this patch otherwise)… Not an easy choice here for BAYAG… Let’s see what happens!

Great point fabri79, I like that 97 Heat teams, but the Hornets were pretty good. If I had to pick one team I still would go with 97 Heat.

Thanks Bayag for considering the 97 Heat.
I just had one more question, I know the Dream Team was on the Original patch. In one of your screen shots the Redeem Team o8 was on there. Will the Redeem Team 08 be on the patch? also, the 96 USA team (Shaq, Reggie Miller, Penny Hardaway, Gary Payton) and 00 USA team with (Garnett, Vince Carter, Jason Kidd and Alonzo Mourning) can you considered those teams?

I reckon Ultranix got a aborted 08 project regarding that (his Beijing 08 project, here's the thread  viewtopic.php?f=80&t=53138&hilit=ultranix). He included some old USA teams in there. Gutted he didn't carry on with it...

BAYAG, just one question/proposal: if you will decide not to make ’93 (or whatever) Charlotte team, would you consider to add last year New Orleans Hornets? They won 56 games (the most in team history) and then surrendered in game 7 to San Antonio at conference semifinals… I guess you don’t have to work a lot on this team (all the artwork is already made)…

I know, I know, this season they were disappointing… but Charlotte/New Orleans would be the only NBA team not to be represented in the patch except for the last three expansion teams (too few seasons played, IMO none of them deserve another effort from you to be introduced) and LA Clippers (but many strong Lakers teams are already in, so I don’t care).

I’m not gonna ask you to consider/represent any other team. I think the final list of your astonishing work would satisfy even the most “retro-addicted” kind of gamer.. Thanks!
