Seattle sonics roster query.

Hey ballers, Im an Aussie sonics fan with a problem. Last year we got 1 game televised here, which was great, but it made me query nba live 07's ratings for some of the sonics. Both Petro and Swift are close statistically, but in this years release Swift got love and improved heaps, yet Petro I think is still the same as 06. In the game i saw, vs heat Petro was the man in the middle and did a good job, but 07 rates him a 58? Swift on the other hand has shot up from 60-62 to 70 :? . Also why are foreign rookies always rated so bad? Sene and Gelabale are meant to be impressive yet they rate horribly, both in the mid 50's, with no outstanding stat to at least begin with. I know they are unknown players, but if they are scouted as a shooter, or a swater or banger, shouldnt their stats reflect this? How far realistically in the game will a mid 50's rated player get? Average career of 10-12 years max. :x . And what about Chris Wilcox? He is being hailed as the next big thing inside for the sonics, yet inside scoring is a 60? I know he dunks like a biatch, but isnt he meant to have decent skill shooting inside? I love the game, dont get me wrong, but need a bit of help to get a fair, realistic roster that I will be happy to play. I havent seen enough of the Sonics playing to get a real idea of what these players stats should be, any ideas? Thanks.

Unless a player improves a ton in the offseason or near the end of the season, EA wont change their ratings a lot. Petro I feel is just as good as Swift, especially since he has a lot more experience playing professionally to make up for his "lostness" he feels on the court sometimes since he's foreign.

I also like Wilcox a lot, he's deserved every rating improvement he's gotten, but to be honest his low post repetoire isn't that expansive. What gets him his points is his athleticism and the fact that he runs the floor extremely well. 60 does seem just a tad low though, but you can always change the ratings urself so it is no biggie.

Thanks for your input mate, i figure i can make my own adjustments, but i want them to be realistic, and having only seen 1 game last year, i want to get a realistic idea of how good these guys are. Thanks for your response. :D What are your thoughts on Sene and Gelabale, Gelabale at least has a decent reputation out of Europe, and Sene's wingspan surely deserves a better run in the stat dept. Have you seen much summer league action?Or preseason? We get zip, only the bites Sportcenter plays, and rarely Sonics at that! Thanks again, Don

Sene is a great shot blocker, and he's quick and agile and athletic, but he doesnt have a lot of pure skill. Sort of like a Desagana Diop, just not quite as good yet and much skinnier.

Gelebale is crazy athletic. He can dunk as well as most anyone in the league and as far as shooting goes, he's not that great. He can hit open jumpshots and 3's, but not much past that. I dont know what kinda defender he is though.

I'm from the Seattle area:

Swift tore his ACL the other day and is out for the season. Reports say that he was to start and was showing improvement. Perto has been in B. Hill's dog house in the pre-season and even a raw rookie is going to start ahead of him. I would rate Petro a good rebounder with some good inside moves, but he gets tagged for fouls so has no endurance in the game. I'd think he is a 60 but with a high fatigue rate because he just can't stay in games. Sene is supposed to be as the other posters stated but we just haven't seen enough to make a judgement.
