Anyway to make a patch for minutes per game? (read to undstd

ok...i play my games at 8 minute quarters..if i played the full 12 it would take waayy to long to play and i would be scoring 200 pts a game...sooo...the one thing that prolly doesnt really matter..but does to me in way is minutes per game. Where my starters may play 27 a game...every one else is playing about 35-40(the computer games that are simulated anyways) so in the stats departed my guys look like they are playing really low minutes to the computers really high. So is there anyway to make a patch that would after my games...make the minutes per game my team plays into a percentage of what they would have played in a 12 minute game? So if they play 30 in a 8 minute quarter game in the stats it will show something like 40...does anyone understand what im saying?

In fact, in the days when I actually played this game, I often wished for such a patch. I don't think it would be possible, but stranger things have happened, I suppose.

In previous Lives if you went to the settings or something in your dynasty you could change the simulation game length.

Yeah, I know what you are saying, it bothers me too. I hope EA will improve that ...

It is also possible in NBA Live 07 but if you change the simulation game length the scoring of the simulated games will be very low.

Maybe it could be something like the FIFA series? You choose 6 minute halves and get a fastened clock running from 0 to 45.

It would be half good, but how are you going to exicute your final play, when time's running two times faster? If you had 0.7 on the clock, you probably couldn't get a shot off.

I remember a discussion about that a few years back. While the idea is good in theory it doesn't really account for situations like the one you described, nor would it work particularly well with all the clock rules in the NBA (eight in the half, three in the key, defensive three seconds, the shot clock etc).

If you just want your players to have comparable stats at the end of the season, then just use a DBeditor to multiply your players' stats to the correct factor. (i.e. Points x 1.5, if you're using 8mins play and 12mins sim).

but if you want to see comparable stats throughout the season (ie in league leaders, and mvt candidates, etc) then it wont be straightforward.
