SUPER STAR LEVEL

UPDATED 11/15/06

These sliders were modified to fit the new roster file I created. The player's speed attributes in the game will adjust to the lower game speed slider that allows the games animations to be seen more fluid.

If you can adjust to the Press Camera view and TV settings that is listed below I belive it really enhances gameplay alot better. I also think that if you control the PG only on defense it will really allow you to see the beauty of the CPU's star players as they go one on one vs your AI teamates. I put in alot of hours on this project and hopefully it will provide a better basketball game then what was released by EA themselves. Basketball has always been my true passion and what you see on the court by the CPU offensively is how I feel the game should be played. The Stars should stand out right away once you load up the file. It will include the sliders and playbooks I created.

Well I finally figured out how to get the rosters, sliders and playbooks out to everyone. You'll need a transfer kit and memory card to get them though. If you have any questions you can now post in the thread because I don't have to manually type in player ratings anymore. I'm still finishing up on teams but I dod have 3 test teams complete Atlanta, Boston and Denver. I lost all my original information messing around with the files last week. So, I've started over and it shouldn't take that long.

But atleast not it will be available to anyone that has thos items.

Playmakers, if I am to manually assign these plays to the teams in my game, if I just save my Settings under Load/Save, will that preserve them, or must I save something/somewhere else?

Also, I don't recall there being a Fatigue Setting (other than Off/On post-patch) for Live 07?

Thanks for all your work and effort. The community appreciates it.

Yeah this is for the 360 version. Once I'm done with all the ratings which is most likley within the next 1 to 2 days I'll post playbooks for the Current Gen and PC versions in another thread that was already created.

Anyone playing the 360 version I will leave a file link in this thread that will include everything I've done with the game from playbooks, sliders and adjusted ratings.

Well I'm down to the last few teams and thank goodness....... :D

When they inputed 73 ratings this year I thought it was all just for show but I've tested nearly 55 of the 73 and they all do matter and some actaully have a direct attatchment to the sliders aswell.

They have this rating called Triple Threatt for every player and believe it or not for those who have the 360 version that rating actually transpires into forcing the CPU players on the wings to dribble much more fluid mainly because they are in a Triple Threatt position or upright position more often. For those that don't know what I'm talking about basically without touching this rating the players go into a hunch back mode while dribbling which looks totally silly.

But the Triple Threat rating when you increase it to a reasonable amount for each player mainly the perimeter oriented players PG's, SG's, SF's and few PF's that operate on the perimeter it programs them dribble upright more often and you see this best once you back off a guy and give him just a litle space on the perimeter.

The rating can be abused by the human player but the CPU players don't abuse it at all. It's kinda like the FSS moves the CPU doesn't abuse it and therefor having their FSS slider MAXED out actually gets them to animate much more when passing or shooting.

Anyway's I think the game plays vastly different as opposed to the way it performed if you didn't want to mess with all these damn ratings. It's very time consuming but the rewards are worth it in the end. To see guy's like KG, Dirk, Duncan, Gasol and AI actually being reprogrammed to respond like their real life counter parts is a thing of beauty. No longer will Dirk try to be a post up PF in NBA Live.......He'll actually back up away from you and look to shoot a three or come off a pick and deliver a nice mid range jumper. KG will fade away and look just like the actual KG plus he'll actually handle the ball. Gasol will use a variety of post moves in the paint to try and draw a foul. Of course you have to design plays around these guy's aswell because EA for some reason every year assigns the same simple QUICK PLAYS that don't allow the Star's to really shine in NBA Live.

Well I didn't mean to rant on so long but the game though not perfect has a ton of added good things to gameplay. It's just too bad that many people will only go by what they've seen and read based off of the DEFAULT gameplay released by EA.

Is there somewhere a person can go to get a description of what each slider does?

Yeah I'll explain how each slider works later.

I'm also finished with the roster file and if anyone needs a copy let me know and I can email it to you.

I've sent the file out to about 40 people already and hopefully someone can create a zip file later. But until then I've been sending out the file by email request.

Yes these are for the 360 version only.

The transfer kit is a device that cost about $15 bucks that allows you to download roster files and things.

Just scroll down a little and you'll see a section titled Playmakers Sliders and Stuff.

Yeah these are strictly for the xbox 360.

But I did post some playbooks for all teams that might be helpful for the PC version in this link:

Well I started going up higher on the speed just to see if it would hurt the game much because of the adjusted player speeds but it really didn't aslong as I didn't go past 80 speed overall. That seems to be the cut off point because I noticed they started running like they were on juice after 80.

I would say anywhere between 40-80 speed is ok depending on your speed preference for game pace. I'm happy with 80 now but remember I don't use any other camera angle but the Press Camera because to me it just seems like the best overall camera for the game and the roster file that was created. It might be further away from the action but it seems to provide the best overall view for most of the court and the players move better than before using these combinations of settings along with the increase in the Triple Threat ratings like I described..

Now I'm at Press Camera 10-Height/3-Zoom, 80 speed, 80 fatigue and 10 minute quarters with auto sub's ON and the game hasn't felt any better than this for me.

Started my season over using that setup and beat the Spurs 109-101 in OT and then lost to Houston 99-87 in my next game.

It's listed under Team strateg on the main menu. But they only save over in season play not dynasty play. So, if you play in dynasty mode you'll need to waite until you get to your dynasty and then input the plays.

Hello Everyone

EA has done it again, with consistent brilliance, and will make people learn how to play the game the right way. It's for thinkers and players, not for those who just want it their own way. And, the franchise mode is great, because it allows you to set your rotations, because guys get too tired in real life. If they didn't, every starter would get 40-48 minutes a game, and there's just too much running and energy to expend in a two and a half hour game. Plus, role players are always key and vital to each and every team, thus making it realistic. And even better, you can do a draft-over of the 2006 draft.
