blow out dribble

has anyone actually gotten the blow-out dribble to work in 07? The triple threat+tap left/right from the FSS Moves thread didn't work even with outside scorer...

This feature has been taken out for some reason. EA also said that

Q. Jab steps (and other pivot moves) triggers a freestyle move.

A: This also is working as designed. The right analog controls a player's freestyle dribbling while the left analog controls a player's movement. If the left analog is moved while using the right analog a player will transition from a jab step to a dribble move (Freestyle move).

yes i'm aware what EA posted, but the blow-out dribble move posted in the FSS moves thread uses the right analog, not the left. but again, it doesn't work...

so theres really no way to get a first-step in 07? i got the feeling EA misunderstood the Jab step problem when it was presented...

first step seems automatic now. if you're stationary or just received a pass, once you move towards the defender there is sometimes a first step animation. jab steps this year are more for positioning the defender and creating space so you can go left or right, but not necessary for blowing past them.

Whalt Coltrane said might be exactly right because I performed a quick step after I received a pass. Right as I received the pass I started to do a triple threat move with the right analog but I pressed left with the left analog before the triple threat animation occurred. It may have had nothing to do with the right analog.

yup i agree with coltrate its seems automatic already with the way it move.

While its cool to have it be context sensitive, I would much rather control it myself, The ball fakes and step-throughs you could do in 06 were amazing. Peja gets off 90 percent of his stationary shots through ball fakes. Shame they disabled it.
