Did this ever happened to you?

This year's Live really make me mad! Last year I was able to play pretty good basketball and win most games (on Superstar level) with both brain and style, this year it seems EA decided to make my life a living hell (maybe your life too..) and make Live 07 a game which is hard to enjoy.

We all know all the many bugs Live has this year, so I'm not going to repeat all of them here, but the PG domination bug and Gasol/Rasheed can't dunk are some of the strangest. Yesterday I won my first Live 07 game (on Superstar), this after loosing with the Nets to the Magic and J.Nelson who decided that against me he is actually Regi Miller (with 3s in my face). I played the Pistons against the Knicks (funny that even in the game the Knicks suck) and won in an ugly game (and without Rasheed dunking because he can't).

There are a lot of issues I have encoutered and I would like to share with you, maybe it's just a sliders issue but still here it is:
- I can barely get pass the CPU's defenders, while he can always get to the basket.
- If by some miracle I get to the basket, I almost always get fouled. The CPU, on the other hand, makes his lay-ups and dunks without any difficulty.
- Many time I miss my dunks even with the best dunkers in the league (e.g Vince Carter ).
- The CPU manages to make many impossible shots in my face (including 3s) and barely misses his shots.
- I found out that shots from close-range goes in most of the time (even with big men), 3s goes in pretty easy too.
- Most of the times I try to lay-up/dunks, I end up falling on the CPU's defender and in some cases get the offensive fouls, this is not the case for when the CPU tries a lay-up/dunk.

That's most of the stuff I found out. May I say that I have played Live for years and never encountered those issues, I sure hope that I'm not the only one who encountered those things. Feel free to vote for any of the above (you can vote for more than one option ).

Sure hope NLSC people are going to fix those issues in the upcoming sliders patch.

everything you have stated there I am experiencing on my current-gen console version of NBA Live 07... i turned my PS2 off after throwin the controller down in anger several times...
like you i was a solid player on live 06 and have played it for 4 years now, its ridiculous the fact that the computer gets into momentum and that automatically means that my players start blowing shots... since WHEN has the other teams momentum meant that you blow open shots with ray allen...
im not goin to get mad because thats what happens wen i play the game, but the dynasty mode is a disgrace... i like the rumour mill and other espn additions but wenever you intervene a simulated game (whether you're up or down) going into the fourth quarter you can't hit jack shit... as though the CPU team has great momentum after making one layup!!

you kno the game is shit when gary payton nails a three in your face and ray allen blows 6 wide open threes (yea...6!!) in a row...

-i can get pretty easy past defenders with CPU on-ball physical defense at 100 (superstar level). you don't bump into the defender as much as you used to... just got to practice.

-are you using the turbo button? layups go pretty fast this year around, and superstar highflyer/power dunks are really overpowered. just stay away from the regular dunk button unless you are on a breakaway dunk. if the player is a dunker use highflyer stuff, if he's not then use a common or FSS layup.

-same again, don't use regular dunks unless you got already past the last defender on a fast break. else use FSS dunks or any layup.

-lower the shooting sliders...

-you need to get past the defender to dunk, unless you are using a FSS power player. the CPU plays better on-ball defense if they are in front of you this year. but if you learn to get around them by recognizing the right move when they are on the on-ball animation you get by them. as for drawing an offensive foul, the only way to do it is when they are on a fast break and go straight and predictably to the basket. you might want to try raising the on-ball defense assist... and don't be afraid to try to go for a block on every dunk/layup. if timed right, there won't be a foul call and you will force them into an adjusted shot.

These things never happened to me. I never encountered those problems....well, only one time, when I'm playing live 07.

i can get pretty easy past defenders with CPU on-ball physical defense at 100 (superstar level). you don't bump into the defender as much as you used to... just got to practice.

I have practiced many times but I still end up with the same 2:
- when I'm running to the basket, the CPU's defender runs along side me for a second or two and then slows me down till I'm standing put.
- when the CPU is running to the basket, the my defender runs along side him till he pulls another lay-up or dunk.
