Three point trouble

Postby BadWolf on Tue Oct 10, 2006 9:00 am

probably another one of my threads where noone replies as there's no solution
We (me and other players in my online league) have problem with three point shooting... BIIIG problems
we're really bricjing the rim :(
th % around 15-20, wide open shots mostly misiing
and when you have a feeling that the shot execution is perfect you still miss

any ideas.. we can't use sliders, maybe some direct value insertion into some file to channge default 3P effectivness?

i dont have an answer for you bigbad, and yes that percentage is exceedingly low. I've been reading somewhere the timing on shooting is different this year (as in, not releasing at the peak of the jump, i dunno if you do it on the descent or ascent) but anyway i've been having the same problem with almost all jumpers with stellar shooters. I have to play a big man game to win because i cant make crap with my guards...i know this isnt helpful for ya but just letting ya know you're not the only one having issues

i really think its the online default sliders :/ or something like that...
offline is easy to hit the 3's but online even with ray allen and peja is very hard.

I don't have a problem shooting long range when playing live. But you said online, does wi-fi count? Live on PSP.

Can be due to your internet connection. Because there's a latency it's quite hard to release the shot at the peak. The only way to master this is practice online.

We are having the same problem with our league practice games atm.I tried changing the slider setting for outside shooting then saved the settings.dat file and put it into the right place but sliders still went back to default.

If anyone knows how to allow us to use sliders for ip games, then this years version could be tweaked quite nicely for league games.

Strange. I played a couple of games on all-star when I rent the game last weekend, and I was surprised how easy three pointers are. I even toned the 3pt-sliders down to 35. But Dunleavy, Davis and Pietrus hit almost every shot. When they were wide open, that is. You can't expect to hit a high percentage if you take crappy shots. Which is another thing I don't like about '07: You get wide open shots pretty easy. You should have to earn them a little bit harder.
