hey, is it illegal to make a copy of my PS2 game? it's just for back-up. im not planning to sell or anything. just for back-up just in case...
and how do you make a copy? what tools will i need to make a PS2 cd back up. is it just like copying an audio cd into a blank cd?

It's technically not illegal I think. However, I'm not sure if this forum will allow it. BTW, PS2 games are usually DVDs...-_-;;

How is legal and is not:
legal is when you make copy for you not for share and get profit for that (i mean you sell it).

pirated game that you own.

Yes.
Because it was a pirated software, therefore the merchant didn't have the right to sell it in the 1st place, which means whatever legal rights that software had from the creator didn't transfer to the merchant, so no legal rights/ownership was transferred to the consumer, which is you.
