free throw question?

So the analog free throw is good, but i accidetally found out that you can use shoot button to do it, and a lot easier, so whats the point to put the analog one there?

The shot button method uses the players FT rating, and makes the right amount of free throws based on that. While the shot stick is a more challenging and fun way to shoot them. And if you get good at the right analog stick method, you will make more shots than you would if you just push the shot button..

I think it's an excellent feature. (y)

Ye, it is really cool, just like being at the line in the last seconds and your kinda trembling you may miss it with the analog stick method, making it very realistic.

That's why it's good to have the option to shoot the free throw automatically and leave it up to a player's ratings while you're still mastering the controls. I was quite relieved to find out there'd be that alternative when I first played the game since I'm still mastering the right analog method (it doesn't help that my controller's on its last legs either).

...and ben wallace can easily do 2 freethrows using the shoot button. is it really based on stats? it (freethrow using shoot button) becomes only challenging when you get fatigued.
