Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

Haven't heard much about the ESPN integration lately with all the bug talks going on, but can someone tell me if the ticker is working in the PC version and how it is?

The only place I've seen it is when you're on EASO (The online gaming client).
edit: Oh yeah, and uh..... it's a little ticker with baseball scores. Whoop-dee-doo.

I thought it was supposed to be in-game too. Are all those preview vids at IGN lying?

My understanding is that the ticker during gameplay is only on the next-gen version, and only if you're online. I could be wrong.

Well on IGN they're are several, and I mean SEVERAL, vids of current gen gameplay with the ticker near the bottom of the screen. Granted these were X-box vids, but I was under the impression that PC was a carbon-copy of the Xbox. Oh well, glad I skipped this year, EA once again thinks their 'dominance' in the sports genre means they can spew whatever crap they want and make all the fancy webpages and bring in all the the celebrites endorsers and people will buy it no matter how crappy the game is. God I wish 2k, after seeing how good their reviews have been for the past few years straight, would port to PC.

I was never very excited about the ticker - ESPN Radio, however, would have been awesome on current gen, but only if you could listen to it while in-game. I'm not going to stare at the main menu just to listen to it.

The ESPN ticker is available on the PS2 version while playing offline. ESPN radio is also available. Once the game boots, on the menu screen you press "square" to sign in on to the EA servers (you don't sign in to the online lobby). And then the game brings u back to the menu screen once authetication has been established (sign-in icon changes to "disconnect"). The radio broadcast starts instantly with the saying "ESPN sportscenter" and then they talk about the latest news. All this while the music tracks of the game is not played. Once the news is over, the music tracks resume but the ticker is still available, informing you of the latest scores and news. The ticker shows game scores of many sports. ESPN radio is broadcasted every 20 mins.

Wow this loooks very nice!!! Damn....where's this in the pc version =/

Here is what it says in the PC manual.
Bring the ESPN experience with you during online play with the ESPN Ticker and ESPNNEWS. Now you can get the latest scores and updates from the worldwide leader in sports without having to leave the Online mode Main menu.
Cant we get the ticker and stuff in the game and not just online play? Or is there even a ticker and radio in the PC version. All I have seen is you can read some ESPN news. I mean come on If anyone should have these features it should be the PC version because 99% of the people probly have an internet connection. When you pay the $2 is that to play online and get the espn features?

There was other function (before was the signature shoot in current gen.)that EA liying us....
I wish they don't lie in 08....but that's 99.9% will lie again becoz of their STYLE!

From EA's own website under PC-CD:
Unprecedented ESPN Integration: With the most advanced ESPN integration package ever offered, the worldwide leader in sports delivers updates, scores, breaking news, radio podcasts and ESPN Motion.
. . . .Now I knew we weren't getting the podcasts, but damn Xbox and PS2 get ESPN Radio, while PC gamers are left assed out? For EA to hype up the ESPN intergration so much and all we PC gamers get are some lousy looking articles in the onlne forum along with some clevery renamed things like ESPN Stats which is really no different that any previous Lives stats. EA really dropped the ball on this one.

No offense, but you just said it's available offline, but then said to access it your Ps2 must be online.
I didn't mean playing against someone else online, I just meant
online, period.

Well, yeah ur PS2 has to make a connection with the EA severs. So in a sense u have to maintain an internet connection but gameplay is absolutely not related to online play. Gameply experience is just like playiing offline.

So the way I understand it, in the PC version, you have to be in some sort of online lobby for the ticker to work. Wow, this is false advertising at its finest. All the IGN current gen videos showed a sports ticker during the actual game. Obviously your computer has to be online for the ticker to download current scores/news but they implied you can be playing a normal exhibition game and still get the ticker at the bottom of the screen. I am so sick of this crap now. This game is sounding more like Daikatana than a frickin NBA simulator.

Whats really stupid is right on the back of the box it says with fully integrated espn sorry unprecidented espn integration via the most unprecidented integration ever.hmmmmm where the heck did they put it then, and this is on the pc box mind you so right there is some major false advertsing big time.
