ANyone remember last year it was down on the righthumbstick with the Y button to execute this move but its no longer the case in Live07 since the Y button is now associated with dunks...if anyone knows how to execute the stepback jumper please post in this thread

Aim backwards with the left analog to where you want to hop too and hold the right analog stick up to perform the pro-hop. Your player will hop backwards. Then press shoot.

Yeah, this is easily the least intuitive move in the game. I don't think I'll ever get used to pushing the sticks opposite directions.

they destroyed all pro-hop related moves cause it takes about 2 secs for them to be pulled. by the time your guy pulls the pro-hop it's probably no use for you anymore.

you ask why? well if you don't hold the right stick up for such a long time, the game will recognize that as a common free-style spin, which is performed by tapping (not holding) the right analog up.

oh, and by the way... wasn't this years pro-hop supposed to be triggered by tapping the dunk/block button??? i thought i read that somewhere, it made a lot more sense.

It would also be awful to be on a fast break and tap the dunk button under the basket only to pro-hop out of bounds.

yeah that would make the dunk button less responsive... all of this worked perfectly in 05 then the backdown to the right analog made it more akward and now it's useless...

funny how in three years they destroyed nba live 2004's main feature! wonder if by year 2009 there will be a new feature that destroys FSS or pushes it to a total nonsense combo of buttons! lol...
