Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

Just got both the PC version of game and a new logitech rumblepad 2. plays good, but then noticed the following:
(i) after pressing the direct pass / switch button, the dunk and lay-up button functions seem reversed i.e. if i press the lay-up button to pass to guy under "lay-up", the ballhandler passes to the "dunk"-button guy instead, and vice versa. the other guys get selected ok though i.e. ok if passing to "pass"-button guy or "shoot"-button guy.
(ii) can't seem to call plays properly within the game using the D-pad (default); game reacts by calling play maybe 10% of the time; D-pad works fine outside game.
(iii) have yet to experience rumbling on my pad within game. but the pad rumbles fine outside in windows.
Anyone got similar issues?

I have the rumblepad 2. I tried having the logitech profiler running whiel I play, it didn't help.
(i) Thats another glitch in the game. Many people have noticed it.
(ii) I've never had that problem
(iii) To my knowledge, EA has never supported vibration on the PC.
Have you had this problem? Go into Instant Replay and try to move the angle of the camera with the right analog stick. Does it have a problem responding for you? I have to keep tapping or moving the tick around to get it to move in a direction. If I hold the right analog tot he right or the left, the camera will move a little bit and stop, but there are some directions that move the camera smoothly, but they are diagonal, and still glitchy.

Also got the Rumblepad 2, and the right analog camera problem that Pdub described. Only workaround is to use the one in the interface, but it's not very convenient
The sensitivity also seems to be screwed up, as I'm not able to walk while dribbling as I was in 06 - I would describe the slowest dribbling speed as a light jog. When I call plays, it brings up the Direct Pass icons IN ADDITION TO calling the plays, which makes no sense. Maybe I'll try reconfiguring all my buttons - did it as soon as I got the game to make sure there would be no problems, but it didn't work out so well.

I tried it again yesterday. got the same problem moving the camera with the right analog stick. though guess will live with that since i find it quite a hassle to navigate all the way to the instant replay menu...
Think i've found out more about using the D-pad to call plays though. it seems that we need to "tap" the D-pad, rather than "press". It brings up the direct-pass functions if i "press" it. hate to think that it's my rumblepad that's screwy cos it works fine in fifa 06 and other games.
anyways, Pdub, i tot i read somewhere in the manual that the gamepad will "rumble" when the game is close (when the intensity icon blinks) to simulate shots getting more difficult. Or was i dreaming of this feature?
oh well, though not relevant here, am also annoyed that the CPU doesn't sub players for fatigue (mentioned elsewhere in forum). should've stuck with the fifa series, and even then...

This probably works in PS2 and XBox versions, but EA is not known for their PC rumble support by any means.

gee, that's crap about the rumbling then. cos in fifa06, the rumblepad rumbles fine e.g. when taking penalties in shootout. makes the experience a whole lot more immersive.
oh well.

Same issues here...
You can't walk while dribbling, but on the other hand, the turbo is really really weak so that fast breaks rarely succeed.
The SF and C are switched for the direct pass thing, which is pretty annoying, but the one that pisses me off the most is that I can't switch directly to the last defender, and I really use that a lot...
I dunno if these are issues with the rumblepad only or if everyone has them, but it sure ruins the gameplay...

I have the exact same issues with my PS2 controller and adapter setup.
Sat Sep 30, 2006 1:42 pm
same issues as everyone with a rumblepad 2. the replay angle cam might be broken... the whole right analog stick mapping might be faulty, which may explain the unresponsiveness of pro-hop, some freestyle moves which take awful long to pull (the ones with the right stick pulled up) and the lack of jab steps out of triple threat (??!?!).
you used to be able to break most animations into another, now it's a chain of events with delays in-between.... dunno if i expressed myself correctly.

Voxel, you maybe right.
Has anyone been able to pull off one of the superstar moves that require a full 360 rotation?

I'm still confused about the exact stick combinations for the current gen FSS moves, but I don't think I've heard anything about a 360 spin doing anything. I believe it's just pushing one of the four directions for a Star move, and doing quarter circles for the Superstar moves. I'm also not sure if there are 4 or 8 Superstar moves, because there are 8 possible quarter-circles on the stick.

Just a question about your controllers are you guys able to fully go through all the menus and stuff using only your controller?
I'm using a dual shock + usb converter and I am unable to use the D pad or the analog sticks to scroll through the menus or select stuff. So I gotta use the mouse still.
Is this the same with you other dudes?

Yup.
Controllers have never worked in PC menus as far as I know.
It's a shame cuz it'd be pretty convenient...

I managed to pull of a 360 dunk in online play with Lebron James (as a highflyer). I have a logitech rumblepad as well with the same problems as described above.

hey guys just one more question as I wasn't able to search this
Are you button configs always preloaded when the game starts?
Everytime I load up the game I have to select my "Saved" button config as it doesn't automatically have it on. Its not a huge huge deal but it saves me having to select it every single time I boot up the game.

Here's what i have found that are not known bugs, but problems i have playing with my logitech rumblepad 2.
Turbo is very very weak, you cant get a fast break, the fast pass, like tap passes very rarely works. Everything is very slow, like you are lagged, so you can't fast pass, you can't use the freestlye moves on the right analogue stick because it doesnt respond fast enought, you can't keep up on defense, the opposition just flies around you, you have to decide on defense wether you want to block a shot or go for a rebound, because it wont respond in time to do both.
You can't shoot free throws using the new analogue stick method around 60% of the time, you have to resort to just pressing the shoot button (i'm assuming because the controller won't keep up with the pace required)
I'll list more as i find em, in the league i play in im getting blown out by 30+ 40+, i switched to the keyboard and everything reacted faster.

I agree with most of that, though I don't think it's only proper to the rumblepad2.
Turbo is really weak, and I find it tough to defend and block on time (once CPU is in the air for a shot or a layup, the jump button rarely works for me).
For the FT, I thought the same thing at first (I couldn't score any AT ALL), before I tried something else: for some reason, when I use my left thumb with the right stick it's working way better... It's not very convenient, especially to get ready for an offensive rbd, but well, it works for me

Got my old PS controller of my friend and plugged it in and its like a completely different game.
