nba live 07 xbox 360 reviews? anybody

i have been browsing this forum trying to get some info about nba live 07 for the xbox 360 but i have found nothing, i know that some one on here has the game and i want your honest review...i have been to the nba 2k7 forum and they have provided great feed back. and one more thing am i in the wrong forums or something cause it seems like everyone on here has nba live for the pc

It honestly saddens me to say that NBA Live on the 360 this year is not the better game.

I have stood by EA in some tough times for the NBA series but this by far is the last time for me.

The game is not even playable to be completely honest. The cpu is moronic and for being next gen there feels to be not nearly enough animations. The dunks are hidious, they are so choppy or inconsistent on the overall speed of the players delivery (they don't look natural or even scientically possible).

I will always love the memories from NBA Live but I think it's time to pack it in and call it a day, they lied to us in interviews and held back reviews. Then I find out for myself why... I felt so betrayed as a loyal fan.

I am not sure about the PC version or current gen console, but the 360 version was the worst basketball game I've ever played factoring the most that it's worst than last year's next gen attempt.

I really couldn't get through 5 possessions without yelling or getting really mad.

I was looking, dying and prying for ways to like this game, I tried AI sliders, I tried to say stick it out it'll grow on you. I just couldn't do it.

Just when I thought PC users got the short end of the stick because more time and energy was put into the 360 (which was probably true), the 360 ends up being more total garbage.

I think the main reason the PC ended up the better was because it was built upon in previous years (though missing out the substitution bug is just ridiculous).

It's surprising that both current gen and next gen ended up as incomplete. This will definitely hurt the Live franchise (everybody's talking about 2k7). I honestly think there's gonna be some people being fired from the Live crew, because there has not been a finer Live game as Live 2000, and it has been seven years later.

When I read that Nba Live 07 on next gen would have 80 something ratings for each player I thought if the gameplay was bad then it would be pointless and it seems I got that one right. The best quote EA said in one of their previews was something like we're building a new engine for next gen live this year and it should make the game better overall not like our competitor because they are using the same engine from last year and are modifying it. They sure fucked that up.

i don't think the 360 version of live sucks that much. it's a nice little first step in the right direction at least.

if they ever perfect the next-gen rating system and physics, adding smoother/better animations and a better AI (things that still make 2k7 the better game), without screwing up with things like the CPU NOT MAKING SUBS :HUGE ROLLEYES:... this game will eventually catch up to their rivals.

it does gets sad when you have to listen to such hypocritical comments from an EA's team that didn't update their current gen physics for 6 years (2000-2005).

of course the 2k team is adapting their current-gen engine to next-gen mostly because they took their time to rework it from scratch almost every year since 2002, something EA failed to do for the last half decade.

The 360 version is so garbage its ridiculous everything IGN said about Live 07 is true. Players dunk through the backboard, ball physics is horrible, animations look real stupid, same old framerate issues, they even took a step back with the dribbling moves, when you call a timeout players just drop the ball befor its even called, and they dont give you enough time to make adjustments. Its so much stuff wrong with this game its crazy I dont understand why EA didnt delay it because now 2k will have even more fans including myself.

EA is all about money and dissapointing their fans and to all those dudes that went to the community event had to get paid or a free game to hype everybody up to buy this shit. Im out and I hope you people realize that when we stop buying this shit maybe EA would consider making a good b-ball game.

A bunch of people here have said that they're not willing to buy the PC game until they fix the substitution bug, others have said either they're playing their last Live title, or they have already returned/exchanged the game. We're very aware with the situation and what we had to put up with the last several years, so hopefully it's about time EA's going to shift their focus to creating a quality product rather than inventing new features.

Thats exactly what they have to do. Back to basics. Theres no point in wrapping up a piece of shit in pretty paper and adding a bow, it just doesnt cut it

I gave a first impression and it skewed towards the positive, with reservations to more playing time. Most of that was due to the gameplay not being totally arcade. I kept a positive outlook...until I played 2k7. I suggest anyone to play Live FIRST, play 2k7, THEN try to come back to Live. I can't be done without seeing the obvious. Live is losing.

While I think the AI is improved, they've taken a HUGE step backwards in the animation department. I mean HUGE. I like 07's gameplay more, but 06 was SO much more polished, its ridiculous. I REALLY wanted to like this game. But the more I played, the worse it got. I didn't even bother messing with the sliders because it wouldn't make the game "look" any better. I just can't understand how the animations could get WORSE. How can we still be dunking through the backboard in 2006 on a "next-gen" system? What the Fuck EA?

I don't care about marketing, how they "have" to sell the game, blah blah. If Live doesn't focus 90% of their time developing the gameplay, I will NEVER come back. I just can't believe how they can take a step backwards EVERY year! I guess it should've been expected seeing how every article was about that gotdamn FSS. Live's gimmicks have finally run its course. ESPN? What difference does it make if the game isnt' even playable?

I don't want to make this a post about 2k, but EA should be ashamed of themselves and their product in comparison to what 2k has produced. Funny how 2k can sell their game as the #1 rated bball title. Live has become the student, sadly.

It's truly sad. I can no longer apologize for EA. My copy of 07 is GONE. I'm sorry I took a financial loss on that game. EA deserves every piece of shit that gets dumped on them.

i have just played live 07 and it is not better than 2k7, me personally i thought that live was going to be way better than 2k7 on the next gen because the graphics looked better, but looks can be decieving as i found out, i was completely amazed with the stuff i saw in nba 2k7... live really need to step their game up cause this aint gonna cut it. dont get me wrong nba live is not all bad it do has its good moments as well but compared to 2k7 it just dont compare

Good step in the right direction, pretty to look at. Gameplay wise don't even bother. 2k7 just seems to do basketball right. It seems as though the 2k7 team actually listens to complaints made and addresses them. For example, the dunks were ugly and not realistic in 2k6, and now with 2k7 I must admit Huge improvement. This is what live does. Gives us massive screen shorts of an absolute beautiful game, and when ur playing its terrible. Over a 100 sig. jumpshots MY ASS. Kobe doesn't even have his jumper in the game or Carter and I know exactly how they look. The only jumpers they have are they ones that they showed u in the video.

And shooting itself is useless because the animations are so choppy you can hardly put up a good shot. 2K7 took a chance and put out a demo of a very unfinished game and even that demo plays better than Live 07 plays. And if I am not mistaken the producer of Live did say that they were putting out a demo. Believe me if they put out a demo of this crap I wouldn't have gotten the game.

And you know what really grinds my gears about this game. Is the fact that last years game played a lot smoother. I'm not a Live hater or any of that nerdy crap you guys talk about like Fan boys. I just like to get what I pay for. Live 07 is a waste of time. Please save your money. Too many broken promises. I don't care how long you've been playing EA games (personally since Bulls Vs. Blazers) don't bother with this Next Gen version of Live 07 and pick up a basketball game worth ur pennies NBA 2k7 for Next Gen. And don't give some lame excuse like my friend why he won't buy it ("I'm used to the freestyle" and a classic "They have more sneakers") If you like realisim with minor mistakes (computer won't take end of quarter shots sometimes but playing without sliders and having a blast) then pick up 2K7. Please none of that fanboy bullshit because I've been buying both games since 2k3 and the only time Live surpassed 2k was with 2005. Yea the graphics could look better but we all know graphics do not make the game. This might be the longest post I have ever written, I usually like reading you guys input and sliders, etc. But I had to get this off my chest because me and my friend who said he doesn't want to play 2k7 because "better sneaker" in Live were going at it. So please do yourself a favor and at least rent or download the 2K7 demo and I hope u have as much fun as I had with it.

this is sad, I definitely will just stick to nba 2k7....it's the same with all the other next gen ea sports titles....they are just plain garbage....here's a thought, take live '04/05 engine, port it over, add graphics etc & then release it for live '06 & '07 & have a different team developing a true next gen title whilst fans still get to enjoy a good game....it would cost a little extra but at least this sort of shite wouldn't be released....
