Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

Now that's what I call effort!
Thu Sep 28, 2006 5:11 am
Hell yeah! Randolph getting some inside scoring love
Thu Sep 28, 2006 5:12 am
Nice, thank you!
Thu Sep 28, 2006 5:16 am
Nice work.
Thu Sep 28, 2006 5:18 am
Nice effort

Hopefully questions relating to this will be contained in this thread.
Thu Sep 28, 2006 5:18 am
Thx for the list!

Nice work!
Well looks quite good but I think some fss abilities are not very much realistic.
Thu Sep 28, 2006 5:23 am
Good to see that Andre Miller is now a superstar playmaker and that Kenyon Martin is a star power player so hopefully it's harder to score with him, makeing it a bit more realistic
Thu Sep 28, 2006 5:37 am
WTF: Nocioni is not a shooter?
Thu Sep 28, 2006 5:38 am
Great effort YB

. Just look at all those Kobe's FSS

.

So here's my 2 cents: Team by Team
Atlanta Hawks
Looks good to me so far, but compared to other players who got star shooter, Joe Johnson should be a lever higher
Boston Celtics
Same here with Pierce, only Star shooter? Even Radmanovic is a Star Shooter. Ratliff as star inside stopper is questionable too.
Charlotte Bobcats
Finally Brevin Knight is getting his outside stopper abilities. I'm fine with this
Chicago Bulls
Also no problems here, seems very much realistic
Cleveland Cavaliers
Well, LeBron James is unquestionable a Superstar but that's too much even for him. Power Player star? He's strong and aggressive but I just can't agree with that
Dallas Mavericks
Well, seems ok to me, but I would put Jason Terry to Star outside stopper not superstar
Denver Nuggets
No real complaints there, maybe Carmelo deservers superstar outside scorer because of his mid-range jumper
Detroit Pistons
The most realistic approach I've seen so far
Golden State Warriors
No real complaints here
Houston Rockets
See above
Indiana Pacers
See above
LA Clippers
Well only Kaman as star inside stopper is not good to me, everything else is fine
LA Lakers
Pretty much the same problem as with Joe Johnson or Pierce. Radmanovic star shooter and Kobe too. There should be a distinction between those guys
Memphis Grizzlies
Gasol only star inside scorer and miller only star shooter?
Miami Heat
Well I've seen nothing really far off
Milwaukee Bucks
It's good. Nice to see Bogut and Redd getting some love
Minnesota Timberwolves
Well James as Star outside scorer is questionable due to his ballhogging last season
New Jersey Nets
I like them, seems realistic to me
New Orleans Hornets
Same for the Hornets
New York Knicks
Pretty much realistic
Orlando Magic
Well Howard may be close to a superstar in one of the categories but considering his youth and development it's fine to me
Philadelphia 76ers
Erm, Dalembert Superstar Inside Stopper?
Phoenix Suns
Marion only star highflyer?
Portland Trailblazers
Przybilla superstar insider stopper?
Sacramento Kings
Looks good
San Antonio Spurs
Ginobili should have star outside stopper abilities and considering that Bowen is a superb defender but comes up with only a few steals he should only be star outside stopper
Seattle Sonics
Looks good
Toronto Raptors
See above
Utah Jazz
See above
Washington Wizards
See above
Well to sum it up, the abilities are pretty much realistic except for a few. Considering that there's another superstar level on next gen I think the distinction there is better. The main problem comes with the shooter and inside stopper abilities where a clear distinction between some players can't be made with only 2 levels.
It's just my opinion, feel free to argue about it...

what button i have to push in keyboard to changes freestyle superstar types in game
Thu Sep 28, 2006 5:56 am
Great post buck !
The suns are loaded, not sure why live always has Marbury as an outside stopper.
He comes up with afew steals but he gets burnt on defence all the time in real life.
Thu Sep 28, 2006 6:00 am
Ok thanks to Buck
And now what about X-Factors list
Thu Sep 28, 2006 6:03 am

Can someone explain how it works? I didn't understood too how can I switch between star types while playing.
Thu Sep 28, 2006 6:20 am
Yeah that was my mistake now I know X-Factor is random selected
Thu Sep 28, 2006 9:37 am
bump to get it over some locked threads.
Thu Sep 28, 2006 9:55 am
Yay, Bogut got given some FS ability.
Edit: Considering others that got given star shooter, maybe Bell and Barbosa deserve it, seeing that they shot very well last year.

EA screwed up big time this year. For starters, they have Lebron as a better defender than Kobe by almost 20 points when Kobe's probably the best on the ball defender in the league next to Bowen and Artest. Next they have Smush Parker and Kwame Brown rated over 70 and have Mihm at 65 or some ridiculously low number. Why does EA always rate white players so low? As a diehard Laker fan who watches every game, I can tell you Mihm is easliy the best center on the team and deserves some respect from EA. Somehow EA rated him lower than he was last year and he even lost his shot blocker icon!
From reading all the problems and what not and then seeing how pathetic the default roster looks, all I can say is EA was SUPER lazy this year. Madden 07 is the same way, lazy roster ratings(not enough research), glitches all over the place. Just like Madden 06, NBA Live 06 is a more polished game out of the box than Live 07.
What happend to EA? Remember when they used to dominate the sports games market simply because they put the best product out every year? Now they think they can put out a half-assed bug ridden product, slap the name Live or Madden on it and make millions(which they end up doing anyways). Did they make some drastic changes in corporate or something that had a snowball effect? Every game that comes out now that carries the Electronic Arts tag is rushed and doesn't live up to the quality of any of their past games. I used to be a fan of EA, now I hate them.
Thu Sep 28, 2006 3:10 pm
EA fucked up the ratings, but here we can fix that.
Thu Sep 28, 2006 3:28 pm
One
James White must be a SUPERSTAR HIGHFLYER and his jump and dunk rating must be 99... That guy can fly !!!
Two
Travis Outlaw need to be a star highflyer. Same Noel and Tony Allen.
Three
I'm glad to see EA guys give Gerald Wallace his stopper abilities.
He got many sneaky steals and he is one of the most spectacular shotblocker in the league.
Four
Amare is Superstar Power ? I think Dwight Howard is more powerful and strong.
Dwight Howard should be also Superstar Inside Stopper - remember that inside stoppers are great shotblockers and rebounders ! Dwight'll lead NBA in total rebounds this year for sure ! If Dwight has no 95-99 def rebounding i'll make my small roster update before start playing.
Five
I agree with shooters problem.
Thu Sep 28, 2006 4:02 pm
Thanks for this mate i really apreciate it
Thu Sep 28, 2006 4:19 pm
