Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

In 07, now even more than in 06, the computer team point guard scores most of the points, and takes most of the shots. About 70% of the time he just runs into the lane, and no double or triple or quadruple teaming can stop him from tossing up a shot and hitting about 60% of the time.

This has been discussed by Angry Donatello as well. I'm just hoping it's not a bug, because I have high hopes for improved gameplay - because that's supposedly the biggest change in this year's version. I just had flashbacks to a Tyrone Lue domination.

I'm sure I read in some preview but correct me if I'm wrong EA has promised to release updates after they haven't been for a good few years and from the stuff I've been reading on the forum they better release one soon.

^^ They've said that before. When was the last time they actualy released some form of update?
I think I can remember them releasing a roster update for the PC with Yao Ming in his rookie year. But have they ever released a fix for a gameplay bug? I'm not sure, anyone?

they released a patch to fix the no game save feature in like 05 i think. But every after that they just left it out with no patch to fix it.

cam: Looking at their track record, I don't recall any official updates regarding gameplay. There has been hints this year, apparently, but I wouldn't hold my hopes high.

Again, I think this issue will resolve itself, at least to a large degree, as we learn to play defense, and possibly with primacy rating adjustments, and maybe an aiact tweak.

Yup, first game I played, J Will was 7-18 in the first half, and Shaq was 0-0. Second half I started playing help defense off the ball, and the cpu started setting up the offense more and taking their time. When the PG would drive I would step in front to help block his way. Shaq started shooting a good amount during the second half.

and another reason i'm not getting nba live 07

, i want to see how long my list can get

The question is: How does it get through the testing? I mean if we spot it imediately, and NLSC patchers are talented enough to rectify it...what posible excuse could they have?

OK we get the point. When 2K is on PC then you can tell us what to buy.

Maybe this is what they meant by good gameplay you cant be lazy. Like Pdub said he started playing D and the PG got the other players involved. Im not going to complain or anything til after I get my copy tomorrow. Who is to say I will complain after I play it. The only thing I am mad about is 82 games only.

I know it kinda sucks. If it was I bet both titles would be way good because of the competition. But there is no competition on the PC so why spend that extra time. Im not saying EA was lazy but why spend the extra time. What about that game with Kobe on it, NBA 07? That game sounds kinda fun to bad its not on PC.

The first update for NBA Live 99 addressed a few issues other than updating the rosters and there's been a couple of video card/sound card fixes released through the years. Apart from that it's mostly just been roster updates.

Thanks Andrew. So, based on the game feedback so far, and the severity of a bug such as the CPU substitution bug, what do you think the chances are of an update/fix Andrew?
Wed Sep 27, 2006 5:27 pm
I don't really want to speculate on that in case my words get twisted and a "But Andrew said..." situation arises, but I'd like to think if we can petition a patch early in the piece we might get a fix for some of these issues.

Thanks for your response.

they should get few of NLSC members to test the game

When you dudes talk about patches, I just want to clarify that these are for PC only, is that correct?
Or are these also available to PS2/XBOX users who sign in online, similar to automatic roster updates?

Most of the patches produced by the community are for the PC only.

To repeat what someone else said, my opinion is that a patch petition should only include critical issues such as the CPU not substituting.
If things like "so and so is missing" or "so and so's shot isn't right" the petition will be cluttered and less likely to make any impact.
Maybe Andrew can answer how does something like CPU not making substitutions slip through testing?

I was playing Lakers vs Heat on all-star level.
Dwayne Wade is just keep going on and on.. dunking on my guys.. lol
it's not even funny.
Jason Williams is driving in the paint over and over.. run and gun.
Unless I'm able to stop them, their possession ends in about 5-10 seconds.
