This is for the 360 owners. I am too busy playing this game to stay on the forum so forgive me if I don't answer questions right away. I haven't played long enough to give a review or see all of the faults. I will say, THIS GAME IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN 06. The animations aren't as awkward as the preview vids, even the commercial. The sig shots are there. Who's sig shots are better, between 2k and Live, is debatable.

The computer AI actually runs plays. No catch ups on fast breaks. You can't just pass through traffic without a deflection or steal. You cannot be careless with the ball. I haven't noticed any FSS gimmick stuff, yet.

I did not mess with Dynasty mode at all. No all-star weekend stuff, no create-a-player.

THANK GOD FOR THE PRESS CAM. That slow camera is gone.

This is just an initial reaction. I did not get into playbooks, edits, etc. I just picked up and played. Started on All-star to get a feel for the controls and gameplay.

There is a midrange game. I haven't run into any unrealistic stuff as of yet.

I did notice that you can still dunk "through" the backboard, LOL.

PLEASE, don't take my review as gospel because the reception to the game will be different amongst different people. I'm sure there will be flaws that come up because it IS a VIDEO GAME. But honestly, so far, so good. There are no flaws that stand out to me as of now. I expected MUCH worse. Every clip you've seen of next gen Live, throw it away. Play this game yourself and then judge.

I need to get over the hype of having a new game to fairly and objectively assess this game. Don't give up on Live yet next gen'ers.

So it's noting like the preview vids?? Or the Commercial? Is the dribbling more fluid!!

And Thanx for your review

I would say its not as jerky as the gameplay vids shown and part of that is due to who is playing the game. It's not as smooth as 2k's animations though.

If you run plays and play D, it'll give you that sim feel. If you try to run and gun, well, that's what you'll get. I'm still playing on all-star and you really can't just cross your way into the lane. You have to work for your shot.

I think its a lot of potential in this game once you get to editing. If edits made 06 playable, it can make this decent game a very good game.

I still can't give it an edge over 2k next gen, but its not completely worthless like 06. The only edge 06 has over 07 is smoother transitions between the animations as far as gameplay.

I'm gonna pick up 2k as well. It may be a good year to get both if your a longtime Live fan. 2k is just looking incredible right now (except for that end of the game AI...HUGE STRIKE AGAINST THAT GAME), next gen that is. To hell with brand loyalty. As a bball fan, I have to explore what both companies have to offer, find out what my likes and dislikes are for both, and decide which game irks me LESS. At the end of the day, they both play like VIDEO GAMES.

So far i think its a piece of crap.

- no fatigue slider
- no save stats feature (for the 3rd time in a row)
- no cpu substitution frequency slider (only user)
i simmed a game on 8 minutes a quarter and only 2 players came off the bench, the rest played the whole game, for both teams. (this is really retarded)
- when i set up my controller, the crossover move with the right analog is backwards from last year. I press left and he will cross over with his right, and vice versa.
- players shoe might sink into the ground while moving their feet, in which you will see a black spot on the floor.

thats all for now...but thats more then enough BS!

I hope you're wrong about the fatigue slider. And about simming - don't you have to assign your depth chart? BTW, are you describing next or current gen?

Wed Sep 27, 2006 6:15 am

i looked in general siders, user sliders, and cpu sliders and i didnt see a fatigue slider at all. I did a sim game in exhibition, not season or dynasty. I recorded my roster, there were players there that could have subbed, but the game never subbed them in. Another thing that sucked was my backup pg came in before the half, and after the half he was still on the court for the whole 3rd quarter. I am using the PC version of the game.

goto the program that controls your controller and swith the left and right axis on the right stick

so if 1 side says Z+ and the other says Z- switch them

that will fix your issue there

if you are using the xbox controller i can help you, PM me

People who own this game already, please, PLEASE do me a BIG favour and say, is it worth it? How updated are the rosters? And also, how realistic is it? I would prefer to know within the next two hours because I'm currently bidding for it on eBay  and the auction ends in a little over two hours. (its cheaper than buying it from the store).

You can only do 82 game seasons in dynasty mode (PC). Angry Donatello.

How is the offensive rebounding in Nba Live 07?

I'm asking this cause it destroyed last years game in my opinion.

It will take much more game play to determine this, but I haven't noticed it as being a problem thus far in my play of the game.

this is turning into the worst nba live for PC game. If they dont make a patch for all the things that are fucked up, i swear im never buying a NBA live game again. I am sick of being loyal to EA, and then having them shit on me.

Somebody forgot to take their positive pills this morning.

I'm actually thrilled with what I've played so far. The gameplay in general is head and shoulders above that of last year, the graphics are better and cleaner, FSS isn't nearly as strong, changing FSS on the fly I've found to be quite useful and enjoyable, it is much more difficult to drive to the basket, there is much more contact, much more fouls on both ends...

Wed Sep 27, 2006 8:40 am

I've played 3 games now (all against the Sonics), and all I've noticed besides me getting my ASS BEAT HARD while playing on all-star, and even on starter ( ) is that it appears that the "opposing team's point guard scoring all the points and taking all the shots" bug is back.

Hopefully it will be in the patch. When are they going to make the game great without taking the little things away?
