The "What team should I use?" question thread.

Wed Sep 20, 2006 7:07 am

Here's a spot for you to post what you want out of your dynasty, and ask for advice from others!

Examples:

"What team should I use if I want to really have to work to clear salary space?"

"What team really has some cancer players that want to be dealt?"

"Which team should I choose that's going to have alot of salary cap after the first couple of years?"

"I really want a team with a superstar player, but that also has a good supporting cast... which team should I use?"
____________________________________

To those choosing to reply and help people out: Please clearly address who's question you're answering.'

example:

Question: DaanTheMaan69 asks "what team is best?"

Answer: Well, DaanTheMaan69, the Suns are the best, because __________.

Please don't just post "suns" with no reference to who you are talking to.

And try to answer promptly (IE don't answer a question that's on page 1, when the thread is on page 6). If your answering a really old question, you can just stick it in a PM!

Might as well be the first to ask, what team would be best to choose that has some young promising talent and looks to make the playoffs?

I would believe the Chicago Bulls. Next, I would say the Charlotte Bobcats, they might be interesting to play with.

Boston Celtics

hey every one,,i want a few suggestions on what team i should use

i want a team with youth, which means small contracts so i have a good amount of caproom to work with,im goin to create a player so i dont realy want a team with more than 1 superstar

so what team do you guyz think i should use?

Wed Sep 20, 2006 8:04 am

Orlando Magic or Charlotte Bobcats maybe

Seattle, you've got a rising PG in Ridnour, plus a star in the making with Chris Wilcox, then you have the development of your centers. And, as Ray ages, you've got his shooting touch for him to fall back onto as your other stars take over in sort of a reggie miller-esque type role.

Orlando has a few young guys and are good enough to contend for the Playoffs. With D Howard, Darko, JJ and Jameer Nelson all starting.

What about Toronto? They got Chris Bosh, TJ Ford, Bargnani, Joey Graham and a handful of rookie Euros... some of them arent exactly young but they are still rookeis in their mid 20s :D

The Lakers are also young as well, one of the youngest in the League.

Portland Trailblazers and Charlotte Bobcats are two young teams but not sure if they would contend for the playoffs i nthe first season, give them another one or two seasons.

There's plenty more I guess but these stand out most. Good luck (Y)

As someone has said, Charlotte could be a good team i n that mould. I don't think they even have someone who is the clear-cut star on that team. You have an up and coming PG in Felton. Emeka Okafor is a presence in the paint, Morrison is going to be a great scorer (in the game at least... i think lol), I think Sean May will complement Meka well while Gerald Wallace is pretty good all around and plays good defence. That plus they have a ton of cap space to work with... you should pick them.

Well I think about starting a Rockets Dynasty with a few player adjustments.

I'd like to add Parker (for Battier and Alston), Redick or Korver, Nachbar, Walter Hermann and a mediocre PF. Definately on the Block are Sura, Hayes, Novak, Azubuike and Jacobsen.

Predicted Starting 5:
C - Yao Ming
PF - Juwan Howard
SF - Tracy McGrady
SG - Kirk Snyder or JJ Redick
PG - Tony Parker

Any thoughts, comments or suggestions would be appreciated :)

so long...

The knicks are a huge challenge for a lot of reasons.. but i think Orlando would be really fun to play with because of dwight howard and jameer nelson.. i might do a dynasty with them as well as the knicks.. maybe the bobcats also with Gerald Wallace, Emeka and Adam

any other suggestions anybodey?

Thu Sep 21, 2006 5:50 am

Thu Sep 21, 2006 6:13 am

Thu Sep 21, 2006 11:52 am

Thu Sep 21, 2006 12:07 pm

- Washington

Thu Sep 21, 2006 12:18 pm

What are you looking for in a team?

Thu Sep 21, 2006 12:36 pm

No, not looking for something. Just what team would you guys like to see. :)

Thu Sep 21, 2006 1:07 pm

I would like to see a seattle from you T, seeing Ray Allen shoot threes and
Ray Lewis going inside the paint seems like a everyday good dynasty...GL.

Thu Sep 21, 2006 1:19 pm

Washington Definetly. I was thinking about starting one of them. caron, Jamison the short pf and Arenas will be an awesome lineup and to also work on the bench

Thu Sep 21, 2006 1:58 pm

i Thinkiz youz shood yuse da Indirana Pacers b-cuz tey have teh mayn maan All Hurrinton.

Thu Sep 21, 2006 3:32 pm

i'ma start the season with the Suns by trading Amare Stoudemire for Dirk Nowitzki.

I'll also prove that Detroit will not have to need a Ben Wallace to be a solid contender.

I think the Magic is also a good team to develop into a championship contender. I think Dwight is gonna be solid and I want to develop Reddick and Darko into superstar caliber players. hell i'm so excited to play the game!!

Plus!!! with the "improved gameplay", i think i'm gonna miss a lot of episodes of my favorite tv show!

Thu Sep 21, 2006 3:38 pm

What team should I use if I want to win 10 titles in a row then retire my dynasty?

Thu Sep 21, 2006 3:41 pm

Cleveland: on the shoulders of Lebron James it can be done

when i get the game (mid oct) i want to do a dynasty with a good rookie on a so so team, any ideas?
