Hi everyone,
I have some questions about Live 07...

First, let me tell you that I've been very disapointed with NBA live 06...
The superstar moves were way too easy to execute !
I play with a friend since the beginning (human Vs Human) and 2004 and 2005 were two great years. 2003 and 2006 bad ones. I hope 2007 will be a great one !

My questions : I see a lot of dunks in these videos, will it be too easy to dunk or will we be able to contest it ?
(I don't want it to be a " go in the paint game "...)
Can we make a pass during a dunk or a lay up ?
(like in 2001)
Is defense effiencient enough to challenge an very offensive team or will it be dunkorama time, with 80 points in the paint and 20 outside the arc..... :?

Please answer me, I know you haven't played the game yet, but if you have some answers, please let me know.
I'm looking forward to playing this game...

I'm sure it will be a great year for Live fans, and that it will not be screwed by a lasy defense.... (not in the way we play, but in the way it has been managed by ea sports).

Thanks everyone for paying attention and this site is the N°1 ever !!!

I have played the game so hopefully I can offer an informative perspective. ;)

With the new collision detection you can certainly try to dunk every time but you won't be successful. The same goes for the CPU. When there's contact something will occur. It seems an effort has been made to cut down on the unstoppable moves, including FSS.

Effective defense can be played by moving your feet because of the on-ball scenarios. Pressuring the opponent by sticking to him like glue and staying between him and the basket actually makes a difference. Needless to say if you're not quick enough to react to the offense you open yourself up to get beaten especially by the top scorers but whereas last year an offensive FSS superstar could quite easily dominate it's more balanced this year. Dwyane Wade will be able to beat an average defender off the dribble more often than he would a player like Ron Artest but the average defender would be able to hold his own. Likewise, Ron Artest will be able to shut down players but it will still be possible to beat him, with a player like Dwyane Wade having more success than an average scorer.

You can still play a run and gun style offense if you like but I found it easier to play a halfcourt game this year. It seems like the CPU takes more time on offense as well, setting up plays and looking for openings instead of just getting into the frontcourt, finding one of its main options and exploiting an unstoppable move, which it had a habit of doing in NBA Live 06.

I wouldn't call NBA Live 07 perfect but I was very impressed when I played it at the Community Day. And as always, my advice if you're in doubt is to rent first.

Unfortunately it got taken out for the last two years. However you can do this sweet-ass pass while in the middle of a jumper.
