Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

It seems to me like game momentum is the biggest factor in nba live 06, if i get off to a good start its really hard for the ohter team to catch up and if im on the phone or my attention is elseware and i let the other team get off to a good start, ill be in for a close game.
As far as 07 goes, I would like to see the teams with high ratings and good chemistry be extreemly hard to gain that kind of momentum on, if your a good team and ur playing a good team, it should be really hard to blow them out.
Andrew do you think momentum is more of a realistic factor as far as how good the team is and the plays on the court this year? i have read a lot stating that it will be, but you had hands on experience. What do u think?

I really like the idea of teams with good team chemistry being more difficult to gain momentum on, as well as being easier to gain momentum with
I hope the production team thought of this..

It's hard for me to say conclusively since I obviously didn't get to play a whole lot of games in a couple of hours of hands-on time but it would seem that the intensity aspect works out much better than the often unrealistic comeback logic (which has been removed). It looks well done but it's one of those things I reckon I'll have a clearer perspective of having played the game at length.

What exactly was the comeback logic? Was it just a boost of cpu stats and negating stats of the user? I do remember often getting shot right between the eyes with 3 pointers when i was up 15 points, and all of a sudden nobody could make a free throw for me. Scoring runs happen all the time in the nba, but it should be out of game flow and opportunity, not jacking up well defended shots and missed layups.

the main thing is when the players are agressive at both ends.. When the other team has momentum, they get the ball to their good players and they execute freestyle moves and it can be a challenge to stop them... On defense they are up in your face a lot more and makes it harder to do what u want to do... I like it when the opposing team is more intense i just wish it was more often not jsut when they are on a big run... i also wish it was more often in real life basketball!

That's exactly what it was - the CPU suddenly becoming unbeatable in an effort to catch up or be challenging in the closing moments while the user finds themselves missing layups and open jumpers (no matter how precise the timing on the release). The CPU also tends to get away with fouls and make more defensive stops than they probably should.
You'll also know when the comeback logic is in full effect in NBA Live 06 when you can't even buy a basket resorting to cheesy use of FSS moves.

was it just me or was the FSS hook shot terrible on nba live 06? i remember playing with garnett and scoring 52 points all off hook shots, but some were from behind the three point line...

It wasn't just you, it was a move that was open to exploitation.

you mean the inside scorer move that you press the pass button to execute? That move is unstoppable lol... Rasheed Wallace doesent miss it.. and uc an shoot threes with it too with him

yea thats wat i was doin with garnett and duncan... ridiculous
also the scoop shot that outside scorers use (FSS button + shoot) looked horrible but you nail threes with it nearly all the time
