Will 07 AI be better/Harder? 06 was too easy

one of my main gripes with live 06 was that it was just too damn easy to win! I dont know about the rest of you but i have my game on Superstar with andrews sliders (slight modifications) and i still win 95% of my games with the knicks who are rated like 92 but we all know should be bad... anyways i just wish some how the AI was smart enough to pick up on your tendencies and give you more of a challenge... any sign of this to come?

When you play a season in Live 06, I think certain teams played harder than others. . .one game I would blow out the computer, and then the next game I would win by like 1 or 2 points. When playoff games came, I would sweep a team in the 1st round, then the next round I would lose 2, then the next I would go to like 6 games. I had mine on superstar, but didn't use andrews sliders, I made mine a bit more harder for the challenge.

well with the total freestyle control they added a new ai so yeah i think it will be harder because of the total freestyle control

If you feel the game is too easy, you can always adjust the sliders to give the CPU a handicap. For example, you can make your fg sliders lower and the CPU defensive presence higher. This way, it will force you to look for a good shot. Many of my sliders in the user side is lower than that of the CPU.

Unfortunately, you can do nothing about the AI, but still you can make the game harder.

People say andrew's sliders are great, but it doesn't fit my style, so i make my own (although his rosters are the best, hands down (Y) (Y) (Y) ). I make sure that it fits my style and it is hard as I want it to be. It make take some time, but it's worth it.

I think the AI will be better this year though. The main culprit of last year's game was the freestyle superstars. But Andrew reported that the freestyle superstars have been toned down, and that easy path to the basket is seldom because the players react to the situation. I am really not sure if it is implemented well until I play it but I'm optimistic.

you can make the FG lower but i guess the main thing is no matter how high u put their defencive presence its pretty easy to cook up some crossovers and get past a defender

You didn't take that as a hint to change your sliders somewhere mid-season? How is that even fun??

I think there'll be a slight learning curve but since human intelligence would usually prevail over artificial intelligence, you'll likely have to adjust the sliders so that the CPU has a distinct advantage to ensure it's challenging longterm, especially if you're particularly good at the game. I reckon Dynasty Mode games will offer more of a challenge since there's season fatigue and chemistry to consider so your players may not always be performing at 100%.

i'm all up for a harder game myself, without having to mess with the sliders. My past Live season (which i won 4-3) it took T-Mac, Gordon &Yao all in the 90's, + J Nelson, TJ Ford, Q Rich and some other decent players to push me to 7.

In the past, EA has marketed the attacking of mis-matches, whilst there is some, i feel like more could be done to get players to switch assignments.

this is true, i am learning how to adjust my sliders to make it more realistic/hard... I turned down my freestyle effectiveness a bunch and that really helped make games closer.

PS i got nate robinson to a 79 this season in my dynasty... im dyin to get him to be a high flyer
