That's an interesting fact. I like that, really. Sort of rolling the dice, especially if it comes up that FSS is too powerful like last year, that'd be a good way to temper it, possibly, without abandoning the use of it all together.

So I actually bought a controller for Live 04 or something like that. But I really didn't start to use it as it didn't feel good and felt awkward and all and thus I continued to play with the keyboard.
Played NBA Live 05 with Keyboard as well. When 06 came out. I decided to give it a go with the gamepad and I struggled with the keys at start. It was a pain in the ass, but by then end of the first game, I had gotten the hang of it. Of course I lost the game by 20+ points or something, but it wasn't as bad as I remembered. After only a few games (2-3) I started to really get into the whole controller thing. With all the actions on the right analog stick about cross-overs and spins etc. it was so much easier and better than doing the same stuff with the keyboard. The gamepad grew on my hands since then and I don't miss playing with the keyboard anymore.
So in conclusion, I really despised playing with the gamepad at the start, but it was actually quite easy to handle. The transition that is. I recommend this as it is surprisingly easy and making moves with the pad opens up almost a whole new depth into the whole gameplay... You basically need a gamepad to enjoy the gameplay to its fullest...
I won't be playing NBA Live 07 with anything else than a gamepad...
