Dude on the EA boards said it is.

Yes there all new dribbling animations that were added and the way you handle the ball has been changed as well... the ball feels like an extension of your hand it's really smooth when you put it between your legs. They toned the ball handling way down from what it used to be... It looks more natural

Was that the Next Gen review? I didn't notice anything greatly different for Current Gen myself, I didn't play NBA Live 06 Next Gen so I can't make any comparisons there.

the psp version has this thing called "handles", is this also included in next gen?

From the vids i've seen, currentgen hasn't changed, and nextgen has.

Which is really dissapointing, because the dribbling animations have been what i've hated most about EA's past 2 or 3 games. It just looks so bad and unproffesional. They dribble it so high and awkward. Ugh.

The nextgen dribble animation doesn't look very good either actually.

I must agree. They look like little trolls whenever they stand around with the ball.

No, the minigames are PSP exclusives.
