I'm interested to know who you all think should have the best overall rating of all the rookies.
I think Andrea Bargnani and Randy Foye should have the highest ratings at around 75.

IMO I think LaMarcus should get the highest rating. He should get 74 or 75. Bargnani's will be around 68-70, because we still dont know if he's the next Dirk or next Nikoloz. Foye's will be 69.

Aldridge at 72. Remember Chris Paul was 70 last year and bogut was around there too.

I think Morrison, and Aldridge will have the highest rookie ratings maybe like 72's for each of them. I think Brandon Roy and Foye will have like 70s.
Fri Aug 11, 2006 7:49 am
I think that Rudy Gay will have one of the best ratings, and maybe the best rating.

gay and roy will have pretty high ratings. basically it comes down to who is the most all around and most athletic.

rudy gay cause hes a shooter

Look out for Bargnani! He's better than people know. I remember going to Italy to visit family and watching him play last year, he's good. The only problem is will he integrate to the NBA style of play??? But European ball is getting good too, so who knows. But I'm telling you Bargnani should get the highest rating. Dirk or no Dirk.

Based on their performances during the summer, here's how I think the ratings will be divided in the top 10:
Bargnani (~70, although there's no doubt that his potential is mind blowing, but seeing how he did in the summerleague, I think maybe there's some ?'s as to how well he can compete with stronger competition at his current stage of development)
Aldridge (~73, there's no doubt that with his low post abilities and his jumper he'll get a high rating)
Morrison (~74, has the offensive skill and does almost everything else proficiently, and is IMO the best overall player in the draft as of right now)
Thomas (~69, will have high rebound rating, but has been too inconsistant/raw to merit a higher rating)
S. Williams (~68, just like Thomas he's just been way too inconsistant against NBA caliber players. Right now he certainly doesn't seem to live up to the expectations of a 5th overall pick)
Roy (~72, there's no doubt that Roy is one of the players in the draft with most star potential. He's a well rounded player, but not the best - though there's no doubt, baring an injury, that he's a future star)
Foye (~72, you could almost duplicate what I wrote about Roy here. He'll have a slightly higher offensive rating though)
Gay (~71, because of the delayed trade there isn't much to base his rating on. But with his athletic ability and ability to rebound he'll be rated around 70)
O'Bryant (~68, like Thomas and Williams he's too raw to be rated higher. A project as of right now, but he could potentially be a good center)
Sene (~67, Sene has the physical upsides to be a special player in the L. Right now he is definately too raw to be rated higher than 67. The only reason he'd get a 67 is his blocking ability and athletic ability)

One of the best players in overall rating should be Sergio Rodríguez. I know he won't be, EA will make him slow and with crappy dribbling. They just make bad players if they're rookies.

Randy Foye has been the best player so far in the summer leagues, along with Adam Morrison and Brandon Roy. Those three would get the highest ratings if I was in charge of ratings.
However, I'm sure Bargnani and Aldridge will be the highest in the game because of where they went in the draft. We will see though. I think all the top 7 or 8 will be pretty close.

Who the hell cares, Andrew will make the ratings as realistic as possible.
