The 360 video looks nothing next-gen, but what I really like is the dunk animations,
realistic though fascinating. (Y)

a little review from the second video.

-0:54 wade dunking right over swift with a move that in real life would end with wade falling on his ass

-0:58 a scary sign of a probable "bounce-bounce dunk" threepeat. playes don't dunk if they have just been bumped away from the basket, they lack momentum!

-1:08 wade clearly running out of bounds and suddenly turning and jumping in the opposite direction for a behind the backboard dunk. somehow the rockets defenders let him dribble the ball behind the backboard and give him enough space to come back below the rim and dunk it. nice to see 3 players running towards the end line of the field then the 2 defenders stopping just to give the attacking player enough space to come back and dunk it so they can be featured in the game highlights.

-1:11 wade dribbles the ball, stops and kills wesley with a crossover, which would be nice and realistic if he didn't right afterward regain full speed to dunk over poor juwan howard who was running against wade. dude do they even check this situations out? if you are standing you can't gain enough speed in one step to jump towards the basket and push back a bigger guy that's running right at you!! the minute you leave your feet you land in the third row!!!

-1:14 three rockets in the paint get stuck with each other, watch wade do a reverse dunk and say "hey nice move, i thought this only happened in NBA live 2006!"

-1:26 t-mac gets into the paint and dunks it over shaq who's trying to find his wife in the crowd. one milisecond after finding her, the sound of the ball bouncing on the floor makes him aware that he's playing basketball and gets ready to inbound.

-1:27 t-mac dunks it over shaq who somehow is not big enough to deny the lane. bah probably he was just jumping on his spot to greet his wife, tonight he doesn't care about the game.

-1:31 a realistic play!!! tmac leaves walker behind and does a 360 dunk astonished by the thought that walker didn't slide in front of him to make him bump back. jeff van gundy starts moonwalking in disbelief. EA producers shake their heads saying "there was enough room to pull a 720 between the legs, this makes us look bad".

-1:34 a change of camera angle to hide the fact that udonis haslem was grabbing his private parts in the paint. all this while shaq keeps greeting his wife and tmac pulling even more dunks.

-1:44 tmac fakes a pass either to the jumbotron, to a friend on the first row or to david wesley who was running at full speed to the lockers to take a dump without looking at the play. then he does a nice one handed dish to howard who does a nice and fast catch and turn. positive outcome of the play.

Too many dunks and unrealistic in-game dunks, plus the passing was stupid. All in all, not a very nice video.

obviously they were showcasing the dunks in the game...the dunking animations look very nice actually and plz if Tmac/Wade got anywhere closer to the rim like they were in those videos in real life they'd dunk just like the video showed... i dont know wuts so terrible about this video

damn thats like micro analyzing a preview of the game, mind u this video was just mainly about the dunks in the game...Wade has thrown it down on even bigger players than Swift and didnt fall so i dunno how him dunking over a bigman wasnt realistic...The video looks good, ppl are looking too much into things

Calm yourselves people, could it be any more obvious that they are playin on rookie. If not then god have mercy on their souls. The animation looks sweet, I like how you ride your defender the whole way.

Right because Swift is such an imposing Shot blocker.

Agreed I doubt even wade is athletic enough to pull that move off, hopefully he lays it in, in the finished product

Sad just sad

Well you can see that Shaq never even attempted to block the shot, maybe they were just showcasing the vintage DR.J Dunk.

Voxel wrote:-1:27 t-mac dunks it over shaq who somehow is not big enough to deny the lane. bah probably he was just jumping on his spot to greet his wife, tonight he doesn't care about the game.
Yea, not realistic at all, maybe a slider change or difficulty setting increase would adjust that. I did read that the pc focused more on closing gaps alot quicker.

Tell me that move didnt look sweet. Shows you the potential of the game.

Its look more like robotic basketball, where are those natural moves with those players?
Some dunks are old and boring, some of them are nice.

Most of those pass-es are ugly, behing the back/behind the neck-lol it looks very funny.

Did you pull a Houston and gouge out your eyes? God damn, I hope for all of your sakes that Chronz is roght, and the game is on rookie, because if it isn't the game must be run on the new "SPED" engine.

Looking too much into things? Are we playing AND 1, or NBA? If Wade can just push Swift out of the way while dunking and actually getting the ball in, he really is Flash. I liked the windmill with no running start in the middle of three men, City Slam must have payed alot for the game.

These videos show why it looks like we should all stay clear of live 07 current-gen if you want something close a nba sim. If you want arcade fun however...as i do sometimes...it's the way to go.

the video was about the dunks u could pull off in the game...and wade can infact do any of those dunks seen in the vid...now before u spark a 2k>>Live debate u should know its gotten old and no matter what any 2kfanboy says about the live,i dun care...Live 06 suits MY style of play which is SIMULATION,yes Live is Sim depending on how u play..so spare me the preaching

this has nothing to do with NBA 2k vs NBA live. i don't even have a console to buy nba 2k just play occasionally with friends.

this is really about beeing frustrated at how NBA live screws us PC users over, year after year. i wouldn't even care about NBA live if it wasn't the only game on PC. i've been frustrated with every release after nba live 2000.

showing off the dunks is ok but if you check how easy it is to get near the basket and dunk over guys that have better position than you, not carrying any momentum, you will notice that there's isn't a guy on earth that can pull this off.

and even if this situations would happen in real life, how often would they happen? would a play that happens every three years merit to be brought into the game to be pulled once every quarter? just think about that.

I Agree but the problem is, we werent watching an AI vs AI game...it was 2 players playing in a hopefully rookie mode. When ppl see the dunks they just draw conclusions that the game is a dunkfest. The game runs much more smoother and flows well...the momentum dunk from Wade needs to be toned down like u said,it was a nice crossover but the dunk happened way too fast after

Well, I think the game looks way better than 06. I think they can put spectacular dunks there if the gameplay is cool. I mean, in NBA 2K5 for example there were awesome in-game dunks, but as gameplay was good, it was a good thing. I hate when the game is unplayable and then dunks look unrealistic. There's no reason to make a game boring just because it's a simulation.

 you're good. you should do stand up. michael freaking jordan couldnt pull off a windmill off a standing start over a triple team, there's absolutely no way d-wade could do it.

now before u spark a 2k>>Live debate u should know its gotten old and no matter what any 2kfanboy says about the live,i dun care...

that's fine. no one else cares what you prefer either. you just pick whatever game you're happy with, and play it. no-one plans to stop you. heck, no-one can stop you. apart from maybe jae.

Live 06 suits MY style of play which is SIMULATION,yes Live is Sim depending on how u play..so spare me the preaching

like i said, you should do stand up. nba live is much more arcadish than 2k will ever be. live will always be the more arcadish game. if you want a sim, 2k is the way to go. heck the EA crew even stated that ther goal is to make live less simulation-based than 2k. go figure.

lo.. did anybody saw an non-dunk basket.. if this is what they say isnt a dunkfest i wonder what is :?: :!: There are some really impossible 360, windmill dunks, that are rarelly seen in real nba even on fastbreaks, in nba live such dunks seem to be the regular ones.. (N) disappointing video,, still looking forward to some dinasty stuff and espn.. i just hope that we dont go back to the time when you could do those fireball dunks, making mortals on the air and that stuff..

Live on XBox360 is the best sim Ive ever played, and if EA really wanted to make it more arcade-ish then why go through all the trouble of toning down the superstar abilities. Thats why Live has an arcade option and a sim option.

Ive baught both games every year and both have their faults. Live just has less of them. Live is more fluid and i feel like I have more control over the player. 2k has a shot stick and they reformed their isomotion to make it more like lives and it still aint right. But I havent baught 2k6 for 360 so Im probably missing out on something and it aint fair but even when I got live on the old xbox I thought it was the better game.

With no running start and Stromile Swift all over him? I didn't know that we were playing Marvel basketball.

Did I say anything about 2k? Stop beig paranoid and actually read my post. And if anyone ever 'badmouths' Live, you scream out "faNBoI!!!!!!!!" and start yelling. Calm the fuck down and actually use your brain.

I'm preaching now? Damn, I really don't like those long robes, so I'll have to pass.

How do you play, by playing 00? It is nearly imopssible for 06 to be realistic, I've tried and the game just won't let me.
