i think he was a good choice, because he is one of the leagues best pplayers and i think EA knows that he is gonna hav a far better season than last year because his back is know good and he is gettin stronger and back up to the point he was before the injury. people are gonna see alot more of tmac and better stats, because he will be healthy, most people have pretty much forgot about him but wen he cums back next season, and has a great season, hes gonna make EA look real good

lebron or kobe(wade is with them but he has been on the cover last year) might have been a better choice but t-mac is okay.

I'm a McGrady fan, but the guy has had so many back problems and missed so many games last season that from a market standpoint it isn't too good of a choice. On the other hand, McGrady is still fairly popular and is still one of the bigger names in the NBA.

T-Mac is infinitely a better choice than Carmelo. Aside from that, I do like seeing T-Mac on the cover, since not only is he one of my favorite players cause I have been following his career since when he was a rookie, but he's also part of the Rockets, my fav team. (Y) Let's hope Yao makes the cover in the future. :D

i can only wish for that  hes not too popular with the american gamers and nba fans

i thought tmac was a good choice. i didnt really care who was on the cover... as long as the game was good.. but still.. like everybody said macgrady is one of the more popular people in the nba... its a good choice to pick him.

plus, they picked him cause he is gonna have a great comeback this season :D

Just a heads up, you might have to be a bit more patient than that when waiting for a response. Not everyone responds to a topic within 15 minutes. ;)

I guess there are more deserving candidates given T-Mac missed a lot of games and the Rockets didn't exactly have a great season but he's a recognisable player and a perennial All-Star so it's not a bad choice. I can't say I'm bothered by it myself.

NBA Live cover has had it's curses... People making the cover and suddenly falling of the face of the earth... Okay a bit over dramatic, but that's how it's been.

Vince on the cover of NBA Live 2003 changed all that. He was pretty much a "former star" at that point, being injured and not caring that much about the Raptors. Now he's been with the Nets and flying again...

Let's just hope that T-Mac goes along the same path as his cousin did... T-Mac is one of the most exciting players in the league... I still look at that 13 points in 35 seconds clip in awe and shake my head every time... How the hell did he do that??? Those 35 seconds alone gives him enough credit for a Live cover in my books...

you all dont live in houston.....so you dont know what its like to have t-mac......he is a good player, but he didnt help the rockets at all last season...and all over the city, people say he is good, but they think he should be traded, before his value drop and nobody wants him.......t-mac only deserves this cover, only for past accomplisments, because currently he is a big dissapointment to houston.because he is always cryin about his back, but he nevers get surgery or does somethin about it....he just takes offf for 50 games and still gets a paycheck!!!!!!

Hell no, he played like 20 games last season and averaged less points than Charlie Villanueva (not a fact, an assumption).

As long as he plays a lot this year, he will do damn good in my opinion, so yeah he was a good choice.

If Yao can leave his leg problems and T-Mac can leave his back problems behind and the two get to be on the court for the same time for most of the games. That is the only situation when the true value of the tandem can be seen. Unluckily that has not yet happened. They played like 18 games together of all last season.

Francis hasn't done wonders in Orlando and New York either...

Comeback... If T-Mac gets his back stronger and healthier, he would be awesome. I can smell the comeback in the air already... And now that Houston has some NBA caliber players to tag along with the duo, they might not be so hurt all the time. A healthy T-Mac can play with the best of them.

The problem in Houston hasn't been about Yao or T-Mac... The problem has been that they can't do it by themselves. I doubt they could win too many games as a duo, if the rest of the roster is full of ****!

a little off topic but i think they (houston) would at least make the playoffs next season, if lebron could do it with only role players around him (let's face it, hughes was a disappointment), yao + t-mac surely can

Yea consider it Tmacs redemption, he will prove alot this year. No doubt in my mind. This is the best team hes ever had and Shane Battier is exactly the player they needed.

EA knows what its doing. So does Vegas when they had the Rockets as a top 5 team.

T-Mac is going to remind a lot of people why he was voted an All-Star last year. It's funny how short-minded people can be. Tracy McGrady is carrying the Rockets. Yao Ming is doing his thing ,but honestly, I would try to trade him if I was the GM. I don't know the exact stats, but I know they were winning with T-Mac on floor last year and flunking w/o him. I'll never understand why people hate on injured stars so much. The man has a serious injury. I Know he is trying his best to get back in form and prove all the doubters wrong. He'll be back, just wait  ..........

anyone remembers that he had a injury??? now he hasn't it, and he became chubbyer about 11kg :) so this season could be like 2004-2005 Play Offs for him, when he almost destroyed dallas by himself
