Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

nice find!
While NBA Live 07 will not play like a simulation title in the vein of NBA 2K, it will have a more realistic feel this time around. While not knocking on NBA 2K, the NBA Live team informed us that they feel 2K can get boring since it's so simulation-based.
that's all you need to know if you are a hardcore fan of basketball. if you are one, you'd think a game could never get boring for beeing "too simulation-based". it's official: their aim is to ignore realistic gameplay and stats in order to make the game fun. now i wish i had fun getting 200ish scores on 12 min quarters and 70% FG on every match

Yea that quote is kinda funny. I played Live 06 for about 3 1/2 months. During that time I became incredibly frustrated with the game and ended up giving it to my friend. I've been playing 2k6 for about 3 or 4 months and if anything, have gotten more excited to play it. The more I screw around with the sliders, the better the gameplay has gotten, and the better the overall game gets. I actually enjoy playing random, exhibition games with different teams outside of a dynasty or association, which I never ever did in any of my 3 or 4 years playing Live.

EA is about making money...which is why they outsell the 2k series yearly even though they get better reviews. EA sports focuses on the fun factor....thusly the ignorant enjoy the game and the hardcore sim fans like us are left dissapointed. Pick up and play fans dont want realistic scores in 12 minute quarters; they wanna see kobe score his 81 points in 5 minute quarters so they aren't late for dinner....or class. We're in the minority in terms of gaming; kudos to them for knowing how to rake in the almighty dollar.

we can only hope that more people see the light that is 2k.
on the other hand, what is nba street for then?

After reading that article, I've decided to get 2K opposed to Live this year. I'll be looking for sliders.

i dont know about yall, but i can easily score 200 points on 12 min quaters on 2k6...actually its very easy to score on 2k6....you all make it seem more harder than it actually is......but in reality, its just as easy to score on 2k6 than it is on live 06

If your sliders are anything like your posts it'd be a train wreck.
I average about 87-98ppg on 10 minute quarters in 2K6.

well, i really dont work on sliders, because i dont know how 2

........i just play on superstar, but i dont play 12 min quarters, because of my high scroing average..believe me, nobody can beat me in any nba basketball game...especially nba live

It might improve your image on these forums if you tried to spell your words instead of replacing them with numbers as well as improving your vocabulary/punctuation/grammer skills. Not to mention read your posts before you submit them.

there is nothin wrong with my vocabulary/punctuation/grammer skills...and whats the point of spelling out my words, as long as you know what i am sayin......can we drop this conversation, so we wont end up gettin this topic locked

there is plenty wrong with your vocab/grammar. allow me to post a similar argument i had on another forum:
i find his "1337 1N73RN37 GR4MM4!!!1111!!!" rather annoying. there is nothing i hate more on the internet than words such as plz, dat, dis, 2 to replace to or too, lack of commas and periods, no paragraphs, paragraphs in the middle of sentences, and over-repeating letters (eg "meeeeeeeeeeee").
it's irritating and makes posts rather difficult to understand. i also find that fact that he thinks 15 is young rather strange, since he's just about to go into "real" school, and as such, should know quite a lot. what with external exams and stuff approaching rapidly. in australia at any rate.
i dont mind the occasional and accidental typo. im cool with that. nor do i mind missing capital letters, as you can probably see from my posts. what i do mind is this whole internet slang craze, which is slowly butchering the english language, and hampering people's ability to read, write and even talk proper english, even outside of the internet.
people should be using things like forums, msn, aim, yahoo, email and the like to enhance their abilities with the english language. people these days do not read books, they watch tv. they play computer games. so on, so forth. and when they need to hand in an important esay for english, they get a really bad mark because less words were spelt correctly than not.
this may seem like a bit of a rant, and i must admit i may set a bit of a high standard here. i taught myself to read and write before primary school. in fact, i was reading novels before primary school. it did make reading classes at school a bit of a drag though.
not to brag, i'm just giving an example of what exactly can be achieved if one gets ones ass away from the television occasionally. i never watched television, nor went on the computer, until i was in year six. since then, i have caught up with everything i need to know computer-wise, and have becoe at least the second most computer-literate in the family. quite honestly, i got picked on by kids at school constantly about it, but i have come off better for it.
if only more people took my parents' example, the current generation of kids in this world would have the literature skills society demands of them. nothing peeves me off more than internet slang getting in the way of kids' perception of the english language. i spoke to someone on msn once, who insisted that convosation was the correct spelling. obviously an assumption brought about by internet slang.
so please, for the world's sake, for your sake, use proper grammar and spelling on the internet.
Thu Jul 20, 2006 4:20 pm
oh ok..i understand your reasoning and actually i use to use proper grammar on the internet....until i got a myspace and its like they brainwashed me with bad grammar

..... because everybody uses it, i guess its easier......but if its that big of a deal, in these forums, i will use proper grammar........
