Community Day Report Coming Tomorrow

Tue Jul 11, 2006 5:59 pm

Exciting news, everyone. In August I will be flying to Canada to take part in a conference for community leaders held by EA Sports where I'll have an opportunity to ask the NBA Live 07 development team some questions as well as see the game in action. You may recall a similar event was held a couple of years back which I was unfortunately unable to attend, but I'm very excited to be able to take part in this one. I'm looking forward to representing the NBA Live Series Center at the event and providing you with some scoops on NBA Live 07.

Shane represented us at the event a couple of years back, I'm pretty sure DANet represented nbalive.org.

Tue Jul 11, 2006 11:43 pm

Tue Jul 11, 2006 11:49 pm

lucky you 8-)

You should just show them this site, and let them take some notes on what to improve lol. But on the more serious note this is very cool. Hope you have a good time, maybe you'll cross ways with me since I live in upstate New York around Syracuse. Your lucky, but you deserve it.

Wow nice man... wish I could go!

Well I hope you get lots of info on the game and get some pics of that Event! (y)

Wed Jul 12, 2006 3:23 am

Is this a public event? Can anyone go? I live just an hour away from Vancouver and I've been to the EA building there before...

Wed Jul 12, 2006 3:41 am

Excellent news to see EA making this kinda effort. Have fun buddy, make sure they remember your name and the NLSC. (y)

....and make sure you get a job there.

Wed Jul 12, 2006 6:58 am

Hey Andrew, have fun at this event thing.

How many questions will you be allowed to ask?

Wed Jul 12, 2006 7:01 am

Great stuff...and it has nothing to do with luck. It's a webmaster's thing and drew is the webmaster. :P Make sure you get them to implement atleast more than one of our wishlist items for live 08 andrew!

Wed Jul 12, 2006 8:18 am

Make sure you bring a notepad unlike Shane lol. And if possible take pictures. ;)

Wed Jul 12, 2006 8:38 am

nbalive.org is dead, i am guessing they wont have any representative this year, lol.

Wed Jul 12, 2006 8:41 am

Wow, pre-paid flight and you get an advance look at Live 07? Hot dog!

Like TBD said, if you can find the time to take a few pictures it'd definitely be nice treat to everyone at the forums.

Congrats Andrew. I recall it being quite an odd conversation when someone from North America was the only feasible option of representing the NLSC.

Glad to see they took some of the money they make off of us and actually used it on the "leader" this time around. They should've done that the first time around. Then again, EA tend to comprehend things a tad later than us folks over here.

Anyways, enjoy, oh don't run up the room service bill, washing hotel dishes can be a bitch.

Now we wait for them to invite the whole NLSC Staff Crew next year around. Well, the sane ones...

Wed Jul 12, 2006 9:08 am

If you paid your own way to go would you be able to go to the event or is it like invite only? Like what if Andrew lived in Vancouver but wasnt invited, could he go to the event anyway?
