Official Features List Revealed

Postby Andrew on Sun Jun 25, 2006 11:23 am

For those who haven't seen the latest updates to the official website or our NBA Live 07 section here on the NLSC, EA have released the official features list for NBA Live 07.

EA SPORTS™ Total Freestyle Control
Taking the Freestyle heritage to an all new level by providing users more control over athletes than they ever imagined.

Ground Breaking Next Generation AI
Both intuitive and intelligent, NBA LIVE 07 plays as good as it looks.

All-Star Weekend
Stunning graphics and next gen gameplay make this a show stopper.

Dynasty Mode™
Deeper than ever, NBA LIVE 07 provides the ultimate immersive experience.

ESPN Integration
This year NBA LIVE 07 will partner with the worldwide leader in sports to deliver more ESPN content in-game while you play than ever before.

You never want to read too much into a brief list like that, but the fact Dynasty Mode has been mentioned amongst the key features could be a good sign.

Very Interesting. I'm excited to see what the new Dynasty Mode and ESPN Integration will bring.

Haven't they been advertising this for the past like 3 yeras now?

Dynasty mode is mentioned, but I still remain a pessimist until there is more detail.

# 1.0 GHz Intel Pentium III or higher
# 256 MB RAM
# 1700 MB free hard drive space
# 32 MB DirectX 9.0c Compatible Video card

:( :( :(
I guess the PC version won't have the next-gen graphics, very disappointing

Disappointing yes... if they do make the game with next gen style graphics, the requirements would be hitman blood money like, insanely high. That would probably eliminate quite a few NBA Live fans or force them to upgrade, which is costly.

A little hope i guess,

but also considering the release date, it seems like it'll be released with the current gen consoles, so i'm guessing it's gonna be the same as current gen.

I'd say that's going to be the case considering the screenshots we received a couple of weeks ago. PC is still current gen for the moment.

I pray to god that these features listed arent just for the next gen versions (ie. Dynasty mode being better than ever, while it just means they'll put the current gen dynasty mode into the next-gen console versions).

That's a good point. Hopefully it's a mixed listing covering both current gen and next gen. I assume we'll get more information and confirmation on that in the coming weeks.

They always say "a deeper" dynasty. "Ground breaking" feature. Looking forward to ESPN (Y)

It's the first time in a few years they've mentioned it as a key feature. I don't like to get my hopes up too early in the preview season but I have to admit the fact it's there on the list interests me. If they're using it as a selling point, hopefully it means that Dynasty Mode has been one of the areas focused on this year.

The ESPN feature gonna be like in NBA LIVE 2004 when u play dynasty mode , sometimes appears a little window .. ( in the lower part of the screen ) and this window show some info about :

Power Rankings , trades , injuries , and another stuff.

I really liked this feature ... but i hope the ESPN feature will be a bit better

could somebody explain what this nex-gen graphics is all about? would that has to do with your computer graphics card? I mean if you have an mid to high end vid card then you will get good to great graphics, which in the other hand if you have a lower end vid card you will get only decent graphics... am I right on this?

They say this kind of stuff every year. "Like never before" "all new" "more than you ever imagined" "intuitive" etc. It's cliche now.

I'm with Silas though. I'm excited to see what Dynasty mode with ESPN integregation will bring. (Y)

Though, i should keep my expectations low. I seem to get dissapointed every year. So if they're low already then i won't be let down. :)

It's not really about the graphics card, it's about how the game is made. With the current gen graphics i doubt there's any difference in b/w a mid range graphics card and a high end one.

The specs on given shows that the mininum requirment for this game is a 32MB video card. Next gen graphics would require A LOT more for a minimun requritement.

OMG this is a fucking alarm !!! the 3years old vid card I had before only had 64 MB and graphics was kinda shaddy in nba live 06 so anyways i guess graphics won't be that great in pc... and i think all this shit is all about marketing coz they know not everybody out there have a mid to high end graphics card.

I think the best solution to this problem is to make 2 different version, one containing the next gen graphics for maybe $49.99 and the current gen for $39.99 or below... who know but I guarantee you this wont happen ... why??? because they're EA.

i totally agree, it's all marketing. 90% on this forum don't give a shit about the graphics, we want better gameplay.

And making 2 versions is an excellent idea, but knowing EA, it probably won't happen.

whilst I don't really believe it will be that much of a deeper dynasty mode, we'll see....maybe they'll copy 2k6, who knows....if it's good & deep, then there is a chance I'll still get this game after all....
