NBA Live 07 for PC?

My computer is runs on a decent speed. Nothing special nor does it go very slow so what I am asking is a very fast system needed to run NBA Live? I wanna do this because I am sick of the shitty dynasty rookies in 06 without being able to change them and I want to be able to download roster patches and missing players without having to change and create them myself.

My computer is 1.30 GHz and has 224MB of RAM. If my computer will not be able to run NBA Live efficiently do you recommend I get more RAM?

That really doesn't sound like enough RAM even for 06. It might run- I don't know though, it's below the system requirements. Your video card is going to be an issue as well- what do you have? Here's what we have listed for the projected NBA Live 07 system specs at this point- they're just the 06 specs:

how do i check what my video card is?

Right click on 'my computer', then properties. Go to the 'hardware' tab. Then 'device manager'.

And then click on 'display adapters', and it will list your video card(s).

I'm guessing, though, that if you don't know what your video card is... it's probably not good enough.

Just say what games can you play on your computer,maybe we can help you .

I can play Football Manager 2006. It has a pretty large database and runs at a decent speed. I also play FIFA 05 like a yar ago and it ran OK.

My video card is a SiS 650_651_M650_740 if thats any use......

idk if SIS video cards can run Live ;i was forced to buy a new one

I'm not too familiar with that... but it sounds like an on-board intel set.... which I doubt would run 06, let alone 07. I'm no tech guru though, as I said.

You're right donatello, it is indeed an onboard Intel chipset. Weejontee, you're computer pretty much needs a bit of work. You're processor is quite ancient, and even if you add more ram, it won't solve much, if anything. If you want to consider upgrading your computer, ask a local computer store; its much too complicated to sum up in a few words.

Don't spend millions though... I would think a GE Force 4 would work, and you can pick one up new now for about 60 bucks for my second computer (or maybe I just found a good sale), or much less on Ebay, for sure.

If those are requirements for Live 07, then you can forget next-gen graphics on a PC. 32MB Video? pentium 3? Current-gen (or last gen, depends on how you look at it) is what Live 07 will look like. Since Live 2001, PC users have been getting the shaft.

We don't know what the requirements for Live 07 will be. Hopefully we'll get some next-gen stuff available, but.... I share your pessimism here. Just wanted to point out that the post of the System Requirements for Live 07 AREN'T official.

there a thing on microsoft.com (at least there was) where there was a list of games and you could test your computer to see if it would work on your pc.. if i find the link ill post
my pc is pretty much like yours and live 06 runs pretty good so i dont think there will be any problem with 07

OK so I'm wondering if my pc is good enough for games in 2006, I mean it's not that old but I bought it at a pharmacist kinda store.

From what I can see it has:
Windows XP and enough harddisk space
Nvidia Geforce FX 5200
AMD Athlon XP 2800+
2.08 GHz, 512 MB (is the 512 MB the RAM?)

I suppose that's pretty good since it's not that old but I'm just wondering how good you guys expect newer games to run on my pc?

Going to have to disagree with you there. If you upgrade, upgrade to current tech;no point in picking up a video card thats going to have to be scrapped sooner or later. Besides, for the price of a Ti4600, you could pick up a budget FX card.

EDIT: Oh and cklitsie, you're computer sounds a lot like my old one. Although you probably are alright for a year or two, you're computer will begin to show some serious age on newer games. If you upgrade, upgrade current.

Goes a bit offtopic, but q&a. Max Payne, Live 99-2003, NHL 2000, Heroes OM&M 3, Wolfenstein ET, Triple Play 2001.

Does the Cpu speed( proccessor speed) count so much? i'm planning to get a laptop but they are all about 2 Ghz max...but the video card's are good and also 1 Gb Ram....so if everything else is good then how much does the Cpu speed affect me?

I think you'll be able to run it ok, Laptop processors have lower clock speeds, so a 2 ghz on a laptop isnt as bad as a 2ghz on a PC, 2ghz a laptop is pretty good as far as laptops go, you'll be able to max out NBA live no problem.
