Why don't they make a superstar meter..

Postby Alcoholic on Sat Nov 19, 2005 6:11 pm

You know... each superstar has a meter, and you can only use superstar moves when you have at least so much of the meter filled. That way people couldn't use superstar moves everytime down the court, and it would make them try to save their moves for when the time is right (like when the games on the line). Also I think how fast the meter goes up depends on several factors, such as whether their team is leading or behind, which team has the momentum, and whether it's home or away. That could also be a slight home court advantage, the superstar meters go up slightly faster, but not so much faster that it would be overpowering... that was just something I thought up, since it seems to me the problem is people just use superstar moves each time down the court and it's easy as pie to score.

Funny. Before live 06 came out, I actually thought it would be that way. Maybe one superstar move per quarter or something like that. But the superstar meter is a great idea. Put it in the wishlist. EA ain't gonna read the suggestions anyway, but do it just for kicks.

I like it, I agree it'd be a great way of keeping the FSS moves in check. Good thinking. :)

As what everyone said, this is a good idea. This'll actually make it a more balanced game

Just like the stamina bar. Sounds great. (Y)
Maybe EA will implement that in Live 2010. Stupid EA.

Kareem used his superstar ability 99% of the time as do most past legend with signature moves so why limit them in the game, I'd rather you get the defense better and make the star get rid of the ball or deny the superstar the ball, also depending on the situation it really should be a greater risk/reward system than what we were told before '06 came out because it's almost automatic.

I would assume those players would recover their FSS meter much quicker, the same as players with higher fatigue ratings take longer to tire and are refreshed much sooner.

I think they should have several different tiers for the superstars. Magic Johnson and Jason Williams are considered playmakers, but no way Jason Williams can have anything close to Magic's ability.
Bored.
