i think you are too sensitive about my stat

smart subsitution is by the game engine itself...

just like there is no way to fix the starting lineups in dynasty/season/playoff
as CPU auto put the highest rated players to be the starting 5

so, if u could figure out how to solve it, pls tell me...i want the game smarter too

but i will try to fix the rebound bugs

for FT%, FG%.......i think different people have different results

as for me, i use the default setting, i can always get higher % of FG% and 3pt% than the CPU........so, how come?

my patch of cuz can't suit everyone's taste

but as in my intruction part in page 1, you can adjust most slider setting but NOT all the effectiveness settings, physical defense settings, on-ball defense assist, fakeout dis. settings..........

got it! thanks for paying attention to my post. I know it is almost always impossible to suit everyone's tastes for patches. Just telling you things that can be considered. Thanks for making nbalive07 at least playable lol

If you're interested in this, I think you can either PM jcd38 or me to
get the 06 assignment.act if you're having trouble getting it.

You can simply place the file in the live07 main dir.
it would work as we place things in sgsm folder
(since the cyberfaces, portraits, jersey...etc things' viv file are in the
sub dir of sgsm, so we place the file there. In this case, ai folder is in
the main dir, so you can simply place assignment.act in main dir.)

hey jimmy, i installed ur roster and newest game fix. when i play the exibtion game, i see smush parker, and its perfectly fine. when make a new dynasty. smush parker just disappear entirely. do you know how to fix it? oh yea btw. for gamefix part 2 download doesnt work for me too. except part 1 download includes the part 2 installation too

do u mean roster?

1. download the two part , put it together
2. execute(double click) roster40part1.exe to unzip two parts
3. simply install roster4.0part1.exe and then roster4.0part2.exe (the installer will auto detect the target folder , if the path is wrong, correct it yourself)

gamefix have no part 2 to download...........hagahunden is talking about roster

and dynasty/season/playoff will auto sub the best player for each position
it is the game engine problem....... so parker disappear in the starting lineup due to this reason

jimmy, is there any chance you could release this in .rar or zip instead of an auto path installer. Coz i rather want to know what's being intalled in my comp and what's being overwritten.

or could you please just send me the files. im confident enough to know where to put every single file. ;)

did you happen to re enact the 06 draft? coz the roster will reset if you do that.

ok. i zipped these files together with a readme. once i figure out how/were to upload this thing i'll do it.

heres the readme. jimmy i think you might be interested in this.

NBA Live 07 Play Modifications

copy all the dbfs (plays.dbf, teams.dbf, playmap.dbf, and defplays.dbf) to:
C:\Documents and Settings\(your user settings)\My Documents\NBA LIVE 07\database\currentdb
C:\Documents and Settings\(your user settings)\My Documents\NBA LIVE 07\database\workingdb


copy plays.dbf and teams.dbf to:
C:\Documents and Settings\(your user settings)\My Documents\NBA LIVE 07\saves\(your roster)


copy the aiact.viv to:
(your drive)D:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA LIVE 07\ai\act

please note:

*this aiact file is the default NBA Live 07 default file except for the assignment.act
(which is the default from NBA Live 06) that i imported into this file.

i compared 06's assignment.act to 07's. for the most part it was the same except some parameters were changed in 07 for existing sections that had been in 06 and a seconday break section was added in 07. (every year they seem to make some changes/enhancements to this file).
i think the problem were players drive to the basic excessively or too aggressively may be related to the parameters that are set in this new secondary break section. its hard to tell what parameter means what; only an the programmers
who created this would really know. so i just changed it all together to 06's, i.e.with no secondary break section. i'm not sure if we lose any real
enhancements in 07 by using 06's assignment.act but i prefer not having the issue of players driving to the basket on fast breaks too much and not setting up plays.

* i went through the dbfs from NBA Live 03, 04, 05, 06 and 07. the team strategies in 04 were changed from 03. Then 05 was changed from 04. ea messed up the team strategy entries in 05 or they did this on purpose, because this is when they first created/used the playmap.dbf file. 04 did not have playmap.dbf.

anyway, in 05's teams.dbf the team stratgey section was messed up; for example, team 4 had team 3's plays, team 5 had team 4's, this is what you'll see if you compare the strategy sections of teams.dbf from 05 to that of 04.

07, 06 and 05 had the same team strategies except for i think OPMAIN and DPMAIN. in 07 they were set as 0. in 04 they had 980 for OPMAIN and 981 for DPMAIN. (if you look at the id's in plays.dbf you'll see what 980 and
981 represent..auto switching).
i put all of the team strategies from 04 into 07. than i altered playmap.dbf and defplays.dbf with the new quickplay numbers i.e. shooter A, etc.

also, in teams.dbf and deplays.dbf i changed the defensive plays to match the id numbers in plays.dbf. some of the defensive play information was left over from, believe it or not, Live 03. for some reason, the defensive plays never got fully updated to match the ids of plays.dbf (which had changed over time..03 to 04, 04 to 05, etc.)

i added the plays in 04's plays.dbf to 07's as well.
i also left the default parameters as is in the plays.dbf ( all the fields are default)

in summary, it looks like you can enter either the quickplays or the old team strategy ids from plays.dbf into the team strategies of teams.dbf. i've settled on only entering plays.dbf ids into teams.dbf and the quickplays, shooter a, etc. into playmap.dbf. i'm not sure, but both seem to work in teams.dbf, and i believe the cpu's ai is tied to the play ids of plays.dbf and are meant to be in teams.dbf as they used to be in 04.

in plays.dbf ids 980 and above seem to be the offensive and defensive sets and then ids below 980 are the actual plays of each of those sets.

note too that i've tested this with the default player rosters and other player rosters.

i've tested playing at the starter level, 8 minutes, and all sliders set at 50 (for testing purposes).

feel free to implement any of this you think its good in your patches.

its my own doing. i worked everything from ea's default files.
i think the plays need more tweaking, i.e. more updated to reflect current rosters,etc.

this is pretty much an enhancement to what already jimmy's already worked on if you take the plays etc and merge some of it together.

i'd like jimmy to take a look at it since he's probably the one who knows most about this.

installation problem fixed, as the installer may detect the wrong path like

c:\program files\ea sports\nba live 07\tuning\

hey jimmy thank you for the hard work, but i think this fix brings alot of un-logical moves and plays. for example cpu's pg comes to 3pt line and waits before he passes the ball. normally when player waits like that and dont protect the ball, you can easily steal the ball but in the game you cant do that. and if you try too hard to steal it, they call a reach-in foul. another thing is that cpu is giving you too many open shots. and pg-domination is still a problem. pf and centers re taking more shots than default aiact but point guards are dropping every game in between 20-35 points. if you fix things like those that would be great.

PG dom is already solved if you really installed the WHOLE patch correctly ( used the settings.dat as i put some binary edit to the settings.dat that solved some problem)

and, are you using the newest 9.02 together with 4.05 roster?

maybe you can redownload and reintall it.....

PG dom is solved already in version 3 till 4.05

of cuz if you do not defense them they will shoot or drive

nothing to do with pg dom anymore at the moment as it is solved (Y) (Y)
