There will be a patch(from easports.com)

Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

I'm pretty confident that they will fix the sub bug. I don't think they meant to release the game with that bug. Its a simple feature, and they simply f'd it up. Fixing the crashes is a no brainer. They have to do it because many people can't play one game without it crashing. I also think they won't do anything about PG domination.

cool.. an official patch from EA. How about a bet? They'll release it Early March! lolz. just kidding. EA should release a patch as soon as possible since they also released the game very early. But I won't be hoping that this patch will come soon since EA won't be making profit for it!

They should fix point guard dominance (I've just played against boston and sebastian telfair just scored 50 points! Most of it are contested and off balanced layups.) and the botomless stamina for some stars. They should also add fatigue slider.

I think the patch will called NBA Live 08 and will be released in September 9th, 2007.

haha! EA is always releasing NBA Live earlier than they released it the previous year. But if those bugs were fixed.. NBA Live 07 would be awesome. I love the new moves and the balance of offense and defense. They also fixed the offensive rebound problem. They even added more defensive plays (which I also requested on last year's petition). So guys.. let's not take it very hard on EA. They've improved something and listened to our petitions. I think they just overlooked the simple problems by focusing on our petitions and new improvements. I'm no EA fanatic but it's getting horrible just reading all of those bad comments and not looking at positive additions and bug fixes on the game. Still, they should release a patch for further improvement. Peace!

Mmm hmm

He wants a refund in return for this lawsuit now does he...
Never mind the $10,000 legal fees just to write the letter of demand to EA, so long as he gets that 50bucks back

Celebrations are better to be held off until EA releases a list of issues the patch will fix. That would be a reasonable next step for a company that "listens to fans." The best would have been to not have a release game include major bugs.

The petition went out for a bug fix. Now how about a petition for a list of issues the patch will address?

and even then don't celebrate until the patch actually works. We all know how EA likes to hype non existant things.

I say we don't push it let them patch the game it might take more than 1 patch but just getting them to patch this one is a big improvement.

If they do that, they better release a hotfix for the game crashing on exit. I stillcan't finish a game. the only way that I can play is when I intervene a simulation and join in the 3rd or 4th quarter, plus the quarter duration must be an even number. Talk about finding a way to keep your game stats.

Wrong. Especially when the 300 people is members of the greatest NBA Live community.

NBA LIVE

Postby Rik_Smits on Sun Oct 08, 2006 7:44 am

NBA LIVE 07 is a huge deception. No patch can fix it.

We would take 3 patches to make the people happy.

The forum has gone completely stagnant since the announcement of the patch. Too bad you no longer have anything to complain about. Somebody make a game-related thread!

I dont see how they cant do anything through the PS2 version. Couldnt they just have a downloadable patch in the online mode that you save under settings?

i have only been smoked by quality PGs...the others passed off. They did tend to not send it low unless i left a wide open lane. but the PGs to dominate me have been billups, nash...basically the allstar roster. But it keeps the other team actually close to me so i'm not sure if i mind it.

Too late, I already made the switch and I'm loving 2k7. There's no sub bug or PG domination but it's unfortunate that it's only available on console.

my 2 cents on the patch

Awesome, EA listened. But as others have said: wait and see. EA is big business. They made the patch because as people said "stock went down because of bad reviews of NBA Live"...i know several people who didnt buy this after i told them the bugs (i'm not sure why, they never sub anyway)...but back to the topic. I just wanna say thanks to all those who made up for us lazy people and fought to make this game better (petitions, letters, signatures, word of mouth).

It just sounds like 2001 all over again. They promise, we pay and nothing comes through. I buy play basketball games every year. I have since it was Lakers vs. Bulls. There's been a couple of years when competators put out a better game and I play that game. My goal is always to play the best availible game on the market. a different bball game a few year ago because Live was wack that year. One year my friend and I played a basketball game put out by Namco because that year we tought it was the better title. That was on Sega by the way. This year, I have to say there is a better title on the market and that's the one I'm going to play. I hope for a patch but at the same time my association rolls on.
